More details from the blog:

FRANCHISE MODE
Use the Madden Companion app to advance the week, view the weekly schedule, utilize commissioner controls, receive important notifications, and even export stats to third party websites all from the palm of your hand.

FRANCHISE NOTIFICATIONS
When you open the M17 Companion App for the first time, make sure to enable Notifications. This will ensure you are notified any time the league advances or when games are played. When you are in a league with several friends, knowing when the week has advanced, so you can play your game is key. Enabling notifications will also keep you informed of Trade Proposals and League Invitations.

TO DOS
You can set yourself as ready, toggle autopilot, or force advance the week right from the app. Your commissioner now has no excuse for not advancing the week on time!

COMMISSIONER CONTROLS
From the members tab, you can see all the other people in your Franchise and as a commissioner you can toggle auto pilot, clear cap penalties, boot users, make admin, and transfer commissioner status. In situations where one person isn’t available to play a game, the commish can now turn on auto pilot, while on the go, so the league can continue to run smoothly.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE
See scores and matchups for the week easily on the Schedule page. If you are the commissioner, then you can easily force a home or away win right from the app.

LEAGUE STATS EXPORT
There are many Franchise fansites that provide a great service to the community, and now you can safely integrate stats from your league into these websites using the new Stats Export feature. You simply put in the URL for your favorite fan website that supports this functionality and then press Export. Once the process is complete, the fan website will have all the player stats and rosters for the entire league. A big “thank you” goes out to DaddyLeagues for working with us on this feature.

MUT REWARDS
Start earning rewards for opening packs in Madden Ultimate Team. All packs you open will count towards your total. MUT Rewards members can receive Coins, Packs, and other great surprises throughout the Madden Season.

New players can sign up for MUT Rewards in the Madden Companion App, while existing members can view exclusive Ultimate Team stats, see the number of packs they’ve opened, and update the email address associated with their account.

I am *really* happy that this finally came out. Better late than never.

How does the Export Options screen work...? Do you have to export to a 3rd party site, or can I download this as a data file?

I'm comfortable working with my own data, either in JSON or whatever format. I used to love NCAA's data export which I did every year to create a catalog of my seasons even if it was just a shared spreadsheet.

If you need to create an API endpoint I can do that... Anybody know?

They are currently working on it and I am assuming they will let us know via Twitter or on the main page of Daddyleagues. My league has been itching for this integration, can't wait!!

It seems it has to at least be a url. I see no option to just download the data file for yourself.

I *really* want to know what needs to live @ that URL. Would love to host my own to play with this.

Me too. It's very vague to say the least.

It doesn't help that you can't copy and paste URLs into that box, on Android at least. I've been trying to make some API endpoints to see what it can take.

For the ''other closed thread'' to have been as long as it was you'd expect of noise in this one.

You should be able to copy from your browser, also looks like you can DL as an app for your desktop on PC. Will confirm once I'm home.

You can if you use swiftkey or another alternate keyboard. you can see the clipboard by tapping the 3 bars on the suggested word line.

Well that's partially because some were in there declaring it wasn't coming out while many like myself were trying to assure them it was coming. People don't tend to be in a hurry to say they were wrong.

Point of clarification....Give a public API or specifically "DL support"?

The intent is to be open, but the process for getting the API has not been revealed yet. Right now DL is the only one with it but that's not the long term plan. I'll ask them if I get a chance about the process for getting it.

I'm eagerly waiting for them to tell us how to use the data it sends in the HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA array. It appears to be compressed, and thus, I need to know the compression method to decompress it.

Thankful at least we can sync our stats to our Daddy League site, and as a commish i can put people on auto , or force wins from app.

However, i really hope they add alot more to this app.

Daddy Leagues allowed us to :

sign, drop , trade players . As well spend player XP ( in a much cleaner way than the ea website did) See transaction log, see a breakdown of our rosters. None of which is available in this app.

When your in a 32 man league, and people living on the go and busy, alot of us used DL to provide access to do all that on the go, without having to load up the game .

Hopefully all those functions makes their way back soon to the app, Glad its out , but cant stop there.Glad DL is back up and running , providing great service to our leagues since madden 13. Great support for the community.

Just did a podcast with some thoughts on the app. Some thoughts after recording and posting, I think what people may be missing is the fact it isn't a "CFM" app but rather a companion app. If it had been left to a CFM app it could possibly die quickly if the usage didn't dictate upkeep. By them combining MUT and general engagement items like the twitch embedding and dev blogs it will drive traffic to the app making it more worth while.

As for CFM, I think they accomplished exactly what they set out to do when they started. My understanding is "phase 1" was to get commissioners access on the go to control league, and a SECURE third party integration. They have now laid the foundation though to really add some cool features as we go. I think this is the start to a new era for Madden and I personally am excited.

If you want to hear my whole take on the app, and it's value going forward, you can listen here.

I can see where they are going with this and am very appreciative....no fire from me right now. Good job EA, now keep it coming!

So... are you guys the aforementioned "3rd Party Site"? 'Cause I wanna start me a Madden Dynasty on my page soon and it would be amazing if had some help from the app with that.

There should be an HTTP header sent that indicates the content encoding, specifically "gzip" in this case.

So I signed up with Daddy Leagues to try all this out. Figured $25 bucks for a year isn't bad. Anyways it has been irritating me all night. So I'm in the Divisional Playoffs in Year 5 of my Saints cfm. So I sync from the app and everything seems to work okay. But for whatever reason the stats only go back to Week 3 even though I selected all weeks in the app. Anyways while not a deal breaker I really wanted the full season. Now maybe the info isn't there on Ea's side. I don't know. So I mess around by clearing stats and clearing cache and then syncing again. Unfortunately now nothing shows up on Daddy Leagues even though the app says it's all good. Blah. I will say when the data was showing up originally it was pretty damn cool.

Theyre probably inundated with hungry cfm'rs.
