I could see it being similar for DD... You have to win a certain amount of games to stay in your division until you move up or get "sent down"

Just a thought
I really hope not. DD needs a better offline season-type mode. Making and building teams by collecting cards is awesome, but I'm sick of playing people online and I don't want to play 3 inning conquest games or one-off extra inning games. Give me a normal offline season with my created team, and the ability to play with broadcast presentation and I'll buy the digital deluxe right now. Otherwise, I probably won't be playing much DD this year.

I don't play DD, but your version seems to be much better than the FIFA model... but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the word seasons

It would certainly at least somewhat satiate the need for an expansion mode in the short term. At least for me.

Exactly my thoughts. I prefer not to play online, but I love playing with my collected card team.

A mode I'd like to see is either an Offline BR mode where the entry fee is less and the rewards are lesser quality but same concept.

Or an offline mode where you play with your collection of cards against all 30 MLB teams in order from worst to best. You select a difficulty you play on throughout before the first game. Then at the end you receive a reward based on your difficulty or record (or make it a 2 loss tournament like BR).

No matter what it is, I hope they add a new offline mode that is replayable!
Unlike conquest where there was no reason to play after completing the first time.

Very true and the WBC. Looking forward to checking out the new SunTrust Park this year as well. Nice to see a fellow baseball and Mastodon fan as well.

I would love this.

Anyone know why Amazon isn't offering pre-orders of the any edition game anymore? No way they're already "sold out".

Yah. This is strange. The text says they don't know if or when it will be back in stock.

It's weird. I didn't realize places stopped selling preorders. I though they would just push the ship date if they were low on inventory.

Anyone know when The Show is usually available to start pre-downloading?

And are there ever pre-order sales from now until release time or is it likely to stay at $60?

I bought Digital Deluxe last year and am leaning that way this year. This afternoon's stream will go a long way to helping me make my decision.

But I am with the others who would love a more involved offline mode. Conquest was a step in the right direction. Random games against CPU controlled teams or MLB teams don't have as much appeal as having a goal that a season or even a tournament would have.

No, every DD player will start at that screen. That is how you pick your initial players. The Starter Packs are in addition to this.

For years I've always preordered and p/u at my local Gamestop. Was thinking of ordering on AmazonPrime this year. For those that have, do you get it on your doorstep on release day?

Every preorder I've gotten through Amazon has shown up at my door step on release day. The game's arrived around noon each time. Also, like the previous poster said, the 20% off discount for being a prime member doesn't hurt either. Made the MVP Edition $55 for me (cheaper than the standard version anywhere else).
