FIFA 17 News Post

It’s 2 a.m. and I’ve been playing FIFA 17's new mode ‘The Journey’ for the past five hours. Well, at least I think it's 2 a.m. -- I’m far too hooked by the mode's addictive qualities to look at my phone. Alex Hunter’s tale is an intriguing one, and my personal mission to achieve glory as a member of the AFC Bournemouth squad has engulfed my interest.

I don’t want to venture elsewhere, but there's more to discover. After I've sampled its entire feature set, I come to realize that FIFA 17 is somewhat of a divided experience on the pitch –- a game of two halves, if you will. While it succeeds in creating a primarily authentic experience against the CPU, it undoes a lot of that work when more users get involved, fluctuating between arcade and simulation tendencies along the way.

It's funny, I've always though PES shooting was way better than fifas. Fifa does a pretty good job this year with finally more low hard shots, but overall PES over the years has made shooting to be a glorious thing, with ball weight, shooting animations, etc. I don't know what this weak foot shooting is all about.

got to say.....the journey lacks flare. decent set up as little kid alex but the tone is pretty static throughout. they needed to add something to give the story flare. at best predictable. at worst, just boring and doesnt take any risks. Its like a long version of the spike story with little impact by your on field performance or choices in the scenes (at least I am not seeing much of one). curious if they do another story next year,

The Spike Lee story was he most god-awful thing I ever saw in a video game. I had feared that The Journey would be the same.

In PES 17 when your player doesn't have the correct pace he may shoot with his weak foot. Especially if he's under pressure by a defender. In FIFA, where foot planting is literally non existent, you'll see the 'chicken feet' move and your player will 99% shoot with the strong foot under any condition.

Wow - can't count how many times PES mentioned. Same (vice versa) for the PES review?
