Exactly and i think this is why most of the people here are not toi happy for this.
It would have been awesome to be able to use them in different modes of the game.
Quick games only is useless IMO.

Edit : Just read the posts above.. So yeah basically.

Also, looking at the rosters, MSU fans will be bummed out there's no Mateen cleaves or MoPete or even Greg Kelser. If you're buying an all college team shouldn't they have included some of the school legends, regardless of how they worked out in the NBA?

Too bad it is quick game knly or i would have bought them, no use for them now.

Moments like this really make me miss last gen , the good old days when we had modio/ horizon & hex editing/ Reditor and we could do what we wanted with everything on the disc.

Ahh the good old days . #memories

Hence my 2k is the next EA comment. There is no college game. So 2k thing, we'll sell you these 10 teams that are already in the game. We'll throw some old players models in there to drive up the cost. And we'll make it quick game only so we have to put zero effort into what we are selling.

Granted it's only $15. But why not add a tournament mode? Hell even a mini season mode. Why not take all 10 college teams, and make the myplayer college experience better. Especially if you pay for these teams. I'd gladly start my career over if I could do 4 years at college with an actual storyline.

Looks pretty underwhelming with the Quick Game Only and dramatically inaccurate player appearances (ex: Iverson with cornrows, Deron Williams bald and old).

Not a big fan of hypothetically paying on top of the $65 price tag though. Since no one really knows exactly how much every single player's rights actually cost and how much of a dent it puts into 2K's bottom line, it's tough to just flatly assume that this is something 2K has to do as opposed to unnecessarily withholding something that could have easily been included in the initial product.

All that said, I like the idea of classic college teams in itself though. However, I'd prefer actual single season classic teams as opposed to All-Time teams. I think I'd prefer playing with 2000 Michigan State, for example, as opposed to controlling a mash of All-Time Spartan greats all wearing long shorts and trying to co-exist.

I've always said I would by extra teams if 2k ever did them, I was hoping for more classic NBA teams but buying this was a no brainer for me. Next give me a 10 pack of some more classic NBA teams

If it added players that I recognized as not in the game to the game, I'd be interested. Also, since Blacktop no longer wears the jerseys, the only reason I'd consider buying it is gone.

I'd better understand and/or support the price if this were the case. Sort of like the Classic Tournament add-on in 2K12 with the cell-shaded players and dozens of classic player add-ons. It seemed like something completely separate, unique, and complete. Though, even then, it was really disappointing that those players weren't unlockable in the regular game without some clever glitching.

If this were a fleshed out College Tournament, featuring real college-aged likenesses and legit detail, then it'd feel more like a worthwhile and understandable DLC.

I'll just say that at this point, I'm thankful 2K has showed they've been willing to add classic NBA teams (a dozen new in 2K16) without additional charges. I sure as heck won't ask them to start charging now.

ONLY $15?
A quarter of the cost of the whole game, recycled models and CAPS and I cant use them in any mode outside of quick game lol

Shouldn't charge ppl unless they are fully signature model and play. Most these players won't have signature moves aside their jumper either

We could literally do what they are selling for 15 in myleague. I can put magic, steve smith and draymond on a team with accurate jerseys in **** in myleague my damn self. Oh and of course I can make CAPs lmao

Cool idea. Would be cooler if the versions of the guys on these teams look like they did in college; looks like some do and some don't. You got the 18 year old Tim Duncan but the 30+ year old Deron Williams and Chris Paul...etc.

Would be more exciting as well if there were specific historic college teams instead of all-time ones. And If your going to do this, North Carolina and Duke are musts.

I bought it on the Microsoft store and didn't get it on my Xbox. Talked to support for 45 minutes and they said that 2k dropped the ball and that Xbox can't do anything more on their side.

That happened to me, too. I bought and downloaded the bundle. Played a game or two then put the game down for a few hours. When i got back on the college teams were gone. I had to redownload the bundle from the xbox store. I just chopped it up to the release day crush as the servers were dropping on me frequently. Try to redownload it. It worked for me and I've been strait since then.

I won't even touch the VC thing. I went online yesterday. Played 2 games and quit. Everyone was 20-30 ratings higher. There was zero fun factor.
This isn'the an EA, 2k thing, this is what the modern day videogame industry is. I can't remember the last game to release that didn't have some sort of dlc. I'm sure there are some but such games are few and far between. You can't really be mad at 2k for doing the same thing every other company is doing. They would be dumb not to.

But as for the dlc, it's cool for what it is. I wouldn't use these teams often so it's not worth it from me, maybe if it goes on sale at some point.

With the lack of historical accuracy and authenticity for these teams, no one should really be paying extra for this. At best, this should have been a throw-in for pre-ordering early or something with the "detail" that appears to have been put forth with this DLC.

The red flags for me are that 4 of the 10 teams only have 10 players on their respective rosters, some rosters have no players at a particular position, and, obviously, the lack of accuracy/detail with the players. These teams are just as bad as the all-time teams they had in the MyTeam challenges back in 2K15.

It's not about milking the consumer or whatever else...make quality, authentic content and I'm sure people would have far less of a problem with this.

# 59 raidertiger @ 09/17/16 06:07 PM
This is pretty weak. Not only is it quick game but the players don't even look like their college selves.

# 60 Scvllp @ 09/17/16 06:09 PM
I would buy these if they could be used in MyLeague and I if I could edit the rosters. No use for them otherwise.
