The 2K development team traveled to all 30 NBA arenas to record and analyze the different sounds exclusive to each arena. Logging thousands of miles to bring you the most authentic experience in a sports game ever, watch how each arena in NBA 2K17 will have it's own flavor and be more realistic than ever before.
I had no problems with the crowd sounds in 16 honestly. The fact that they were completely oblivious to what was happening on the court was the major issue. Haven't heard a single mention of it being fixed at all so I'm not hopeful for improvement..
The video attempts to show that it has been. With the exception of the Kemba jumpshot, the crowd cheers at the right moment and level for each play.
Lets just hope the crowd get hype when they are supposed to
Oh my god please this, please 100000x
I am so sick of hitting big shots at home and having the crowd be flat, or even worse having the visitors hit big shots and the crowd exploding.
The playoff atmosphere is great in this, but the regular season doesn't even make sense.
Also the "if youre happy and you know it" cheer the crowd does goes on for longer than a possession clock so you can never see the end of it where they start stamping their feet #triggered
Attention to detail is crazy but I don't get why they can't be authentic finally. There are games on the market which are ways ahead in those terms.
Jerseys are off, courts are off, colors are off, heck you make a trailer like this and all areans are still not authentic. Authentic stadiums have been the standard in football games for 20 years and Oracle looks nothing like it.
Give credit where credit is due but I just don't get why they are not approaching this. Its not that much work either. Its to a point where I think they just don't want to for whatever maybe license reasons.
Seems like it would be so easy to fix Bucks/knicks courts in a patch, its really just different shades of colors on the court.
Do they really not know how the courts look or is it a trademark/copyright issue?
Also, no one ever notices the Knicks 3pt line should be blue and not white. I also don't think it has anything to do with not having the license at all. If they couldn't replicate the garden bcus of a license then there is no way they would be able to use the Knicks' iconic one of a kind ceiling.
I just think when the Knicks switched the colors, the art team assumed it would be the same shade as the logo which is lighter and they never bothered to fix it. As long as they allow me to rebrand in MYGM without losing the arena sounds I'll fix it myself, and throw the chase logo on the court lol. Don't worry 2k I got this
False. Other than the Raptors defence chant, just looks as though they recorded the noise of the crowd and no proper chants.
There was literally no mention of organs other than the MSG one which has been in the game for years, and is the only one when in reality MSG has multiple organ sounds
False. You said "Can't believe they actually made a whole trailer based around recording a few ball sounds.
We want organs and crowd chants plus proper noise and reaction."
One, the whole trailer isnt recorded around ball sounds. In fact only the first 46 seconds feature ball sounds. The whole trailer is 2 1/2 minutes.
Two, there is an OKC and a Toronto chant.
Three, you said "proper noise and reaction" and a minute of the trailer shows you clips of the crowd reacting properly.
You are free to knock the trailer regarding issues with the game (I'm still not convinced the crowd noise has been fixed) but at least use valid points instead of hyperbole.

Other than the lighting, whats wrong with Oracle? Oracle doesnt look much different in my opinion.
I get it, you don't care because it isn't YOUR teams court (and unis) that are all jacked up (for the 2nd straight year).
I play almost exclusively as the Bucks. If, let's say, the Nuggets court was way off, it wouldn't bother me either. But you better believe I'd completely understand if Nuggets fans were fuming over it.
Trust me I totally feel you as a Knicks fan. I've been praying every year to see Madison Square Garden planted on the court smh. I just don't see enough Knicks fans talking about it to make 2k react.
I don't get how they can get so many things right and those things wrong!
Although I think someone doing the game flat out hates the Bucks.... So many errors with their stuff...
I think they just arent aware. People tend to complain more about Dwight Howard's hair (which was fixed) than the Bucks or Knicks court colors. I swear if Knicks or Bucks fans started tweeting in mass those would get fixed.
I'm not using hyperbole at all. Ball sounds and rim sounds are literally the only new thing I saw in that trailer.
The trailer to me didn't scream out that they've recorded each arenas chants and crowd noises throughout the game, despite them claiming authenticity.
They literally make out in that trailer like the MSG organ or Korver three is new to 2K17. Talk about false advertising.
You are though. I'm talking about your original post not what you are saying now. You said the whole trailer was ball sounds and it wasnt. Thats hyperbole.
Now if you wanted to say you didnt see anything new...you shouldve said that.
It would be wrong because the Hornets chant is new and the crowd sounds are definitely new but it would support what you are saying now.
