The game is going to be great. But we'd be delusional to think its perfect. So to point out the imperfections is called "constructive criticism". And this is encouraged.

Its possible to have small issues and still buy something.Especially if there is no alternative.

2K gets better and better every year. And a lot of it is due to community feedback.....

Big difference between "2K IS CRAP!!!"

and

"I think the body types could be improved"

(example)

There is a difference between complaining and constructive criticism.

Dude these player models are exceptionally bad, but it is OS's fault though. Literally NOBODY in the 2k community wad this nitpicky about the player models besides OS.

Edit: not everyone was "nitpicking" but some people are just blindly hating without even knowing what they want.

I'm sick of this condescending unhelpful buzz quote.

If people are taking time to constructively show examples without just saying 2k sucks and want to see improvement, then they should be able to do that.

Personally, I don't care to say anything about it anymore ever again, but you can't look at player models like Seth Curry and tell me "thats perfect"

If you can that's on you, but everything else says the contrary, and that can be expressed.

This is a discussion that needs to be had somewhere between the community and 2K.

Anyway, I think its too late this year so all of the constant going on about it may not do a bit of good.
Stop what, what do you call perfect? Live? Madden? WWE?NFL 2K? The Show? Whats perfect? I never said that there's no room for improvement, but damn. Why even buy the game, as a matter of fact, why even post if thie game don't meet your expectations. Your not giving constructive criticism. I dont care for Live, so you don't see me going in on the game, graphics, the marketing team. Im buying this game day one, like I've been doing since the dreamcast days. I can see the improvement in this game over the years. I recognize the time and work thats put in every year. 2k has a lot of work to do, but again, perfect?

Cmon man you're not the only one who acknowledges how good the gameplay is but its not about that.

This is simply an art area people are pointing out.

Its no different than people whining about online or input lag or anything else.

Its obvious they are working on it so people are giving feedback because there are some things that are still a work in progress.

You can go to evan fournier and tell him to stop complaining to ronnie too, the way he clowned his own player model.

I'm just tired of people telling fans who are into art to shut up..while this forum every year it littered with a disgusting amount of complaining nitpicking and complete head scratching threads to the point i dont even think they play the game.

How about we silence all of that stuff.

Servers are down? Oh well dont say anything or don't buy

...because with this line of thinking that's where we are headed

And dont mention nba live in this. Ive had my say on that game too, and they didn't want to hear it either....we see where that ended up.

I am certainly not looking for perfection but improvements.

Matter of factly you wont see me on here making threads about the art anymore. As ive said before I'm done...because I'm not having these arguments.

If you dont care for art then dont bother

I dont go to the my team threads telling them to stop expecting improvement

But you are the one (of many) who is mocking others' complaints, which is the only reason I quoted you and made those analogies. Not sure what you mean by directing it at myself. I was simply trying to get you to see that users want 2k to get the bodies correct, but 2k has unfortunately badly overcompensated in two opposite directions.

Never have I even hinted I would not buy the game. I live and breathe basketball and as 2k is the only game on the market (and for years the only good one) I will continue to buy it until I don't have time to play video games anymore. I love 2k and the only thing I'm being pushed closer and closer to doing would be to buy the PC version to satisfy my need for customization which (barring a some gamechanging MyLeague news) isn't the highest of priorities for 2k. Although the PC version comes with it's own set of issues.

Everyone who buys the games has SOMETHING that bothers them. I can't speak for others when they point something out they find incorrect, but evertime I do, it's with the intention to add to or create awareness about something I'd like 2k to improve upon the enjoyable game I'm gonna be stuck playing for 9-10 months lol.

I don't have a problem with constructive criticism. I welcome it. Feedback is important, but bashing and dogging people out for their hard work,is not constructive. All im saying is this, these screenshots look one way, but the players seem to look better in the trailers released. Im just reserving my judgement until either i get the game or i can see some gameplay in hd. Different angles can make players look bigger or smaller. Example, people complained about PG looking to buff in his screenshot, but he looked damn near perfect in the first trailer released. Some guy's do look a little too slim, but not to the point to start running aroung screaming fire.

That's not them doing that, that's the type of who are people insisting that live is better graphically then 2k, or complaining that 2nd round bench warmers don't have a face scan. Or really just mistaking the criticism for hate, and "bandwaggoning" with them.

I agree on the game vs screens but they havent shown any gameplay so people are commenting on what theyve shown.

Most of us arent dogging out the art teams work, but it doesn't matter because it's all being met with posts to silence them.

As i said where is all this anti stuff at when people are complaining about servers or card packs or stick control? Its non existent.

Paul George was an immediate comparison to last years model which ia clearly much smaller than what we have today.

The reason its an issue besides a wrong size? All of those people who claimed the spacing is bad...bigger models more space less spacing....there are levels to it.

Anyway yes I'm buying yes i enjoy 2k basketball all year, no im not tearing it down or claiming they suck. Thats all too sloppy.

You can pull up a picture of dwight howard and look at his hair, face, body type then look at 2ks and tell me that thats okay...especially when it was fine on last gen..

Either way like i said, I'm not giving any feedback on any of it anymore. I'll just play.

But you mocked the "too skinny" comments. That's constructive criticism.

I'm not trying to pick on you bud but you seem to be contradicting yourself is all.

No im not mocking anyone, i just stated what ive been seeing in this thread and commented on it. Im not attacking anyone who feels different from me. We all have our opinions. I just feel that if you have an opinion, express it an move on. Why post the same comment for every picture. We get it, the player models in 2k17 have been slimmed down.

What's wrong with 2k and Fournier ?!
Can't they give him a proper face ... !

They should've been slimmed down.

However there were multiple screens released today, so the statement you're making to me is very vague.

Who are you talking to and about what screenshot?

From what you said earlier, "oh theyre too fat, now too skinny"... you are completely stirring the pot by not being specific only to tap dance backwards when called on it.

Make yourself clear. You don't care for the art comments, skip by them.

I hate to tell you, it's an emphasis this year, especially when they touted "body scans" as a feature.

I think 2k will work on it more next year, but it's not just OK, its around that people are noticing extremes, and its just not a general oh too fat too skinny.

Either way you dont like art, just skip it.

...and I expect you to be all over the people complaining about servers and online because they do it all year.

I don't see people in the community telling them "we get it move on now"

...because you know they'd give you a back that with interest

# 494 MarkWilliam @ 08/27/16 04:23 AM
Clarkson is probably the best IMO. His legs look like NBA player legs, face looks good.

I'm sure there are upper body issues if I looked closer, but at least we don't have the 15 year old girl arms or the burger eating trucker jersey (Jimmy Buckets).

Those baggy shorts are all that pop to me if I had to mention anything.

Nice one.

The one guy I consistently heard being brought up for 2K16's (few) bad player models was Draymond Green. They gave him a reasonable slim-down and now he's probably one of the best builds shown so far in 17. Haven't heard a single complaint about him.

Point is, there is a middle ground.. the community isn't just blindly flip flopping.

It's painfully obvious the vast majority of these ratings are absolutely untouched from last year. Doubt they really fixed anyone's tendencies either cept for the major stars or major breakout players.

2k is a joke, honestly. Another year gotta wait until jan or feb to start.

# 497 23 @ 08/27/16 05:20 AM
No idea if its legit, but found it online accidentally

# 498 SteveQ @ 08/27/16 05:31 AM
One thing I don't see mentioned a lot is the fact that the colors of the jerseys seem to be much improved. From the Knicks to even the lakers, the lighting looks to have improved colors.

# 499 Nine.Six.Melo @ 08/27/16 05:33 AM
The ratings should be on par with how they were to end the season so I'm fine with them.

Seriously? On what basis are they going to make stat change over the summer? Based on instagram vids of 720 dunks and team USA against literal non NBA players?
