Geoff Harrower, A.K.A. GameplayDevUFC, has been posting quite a few details on the upcoming EA Sports UFC 2 patch on his Twitter page. While no date for the patch has been revealed, he has posted quite a few nuggets. Check out some of them below and let us know what you think!
  • Added the ability to block when in any level of hit reaction to the legs or body. This should fix the "magic combo" issues.
  • Tuned AI transition denial success rate to be more dependent on grapple advantage
  • Increased stand up arm health damage taken when holding High Block by 20%
  • Reduced stand up arm health recovery when holding High Block by 20%
  • Fixed exploit that allowed fighters to hold their opponent in side saddle with little opportunity for escape
  • Added Grapple Advantage Meter which allows users to better understand grappling mechanics and timing
  • Improved AI takedown defense
  • Further AI stamina management tuning
  • Taunt with @BlessedMMA in the last 20 seconds of the round and have your opponent taunt back to end a round "The Holloway"

Huge. A lot of guys live off those hit stun combos. Oh boy.

I hope this works! If it does it will make striking more fun. I hate those dum combos.

Plz let this work!!!!

Might actually play now that the dumb combos are tuned.

Lol...I'd been having a lot of success hitting folks with the jump roundhouse kick and hitting them with lead roundhouse during reaction time. Wonder if that's what they mean?

Any reactions. The biggest one the 1-2 leg kick head kick combo.

Does this mean if you get hit reaction to legs or body opponent can still block high during those reactions?

If so I'm not sure I like that fix, people already camp on high block and one of the only ways to get around it is when you land a good body shot. For example a knee to the body to make opponents hand move followed by a overhand.

Also GPD what is considered the realistic difficulty in this game? Like if I wanna fight Conor McGregor and ''feel the fight'' realistically, is it Normal or Pro? Can't be hard mode can it? I need to know this for CPU vs CPU matches for bettings nights with my friends
It means if the AI has +GA, they will deny better than before, and if they -GA they will deny worse than before.

Your other question is better directed at Skynet.

It was a lie I fabricated to subtly remind you there are a handful of fighters in inactive weight classes. You are my favorite developer though, no lie.

Big Cee, how long you been on these damn forums? You know by now that when GPD starts spoiling the patch it means its coming within days.

You can still go to the body without a built in stun that makes it impossible to block. I don't understand the camp on high block thing either. If they're always guarding their head just go low more until it starts opening up. That and the 20% thing should be good enough.

pumped to add the new fighters to my Universe.

LOL!

It's funny you said that. I was just thinking that right after I posted.

I've gotta give it to this team, they're certainly trying. This upcoming patch is right up there with the end of spinning bull**** and a more effective jab/straight. Good stuff.
