EA Sports UFC 2 News Post


EA Sports UFC 2 patch 1.06 and content update #3 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One fans, weighing in at just over 1 GB. The update adds 3 new fighters, Cris Cyborg (Women's Bantamweight), Valentina Shevchenko (Women's Bantamweight) and Albert Tumenov (Welterweight).

Below are the gameplay updates in patch 1.06.
  • Added a third transition for submissive fighter in Back Sitting.
  • Block will not come back up automatically after a missed parry, or a timed out parry.
  • Liver Health Event allows high or low blocking.
  • Addressed issue where spamming transition fakes on the ground would regain stamina.
  • Addressed double stamina tax when opponent sprawls on user's takedown.
  • Addressed an issue where takedown denial stamina penalty was being applied when the user is struck out of a takedown.
  • General AI Improvements.
  • General Referee Improvements.

Ya at first it looked like he was not touched but then when you play with him, you will see he got a nice update and some higher perks.

I love using T-City, probaly in my top 5 of fighters i always use online.

Not quite true, I've already put in some changes for the next patch before leaving. They're not huge, but so far there are some more customizations for certain fighter submission frequencies, a fix for AI takedown reversals from standup, and a sizable increase the the AI's tendency to just hold up its block.

The change that went into this last patch was a fairly large one in the way the AI perceives strikes and figures out how to block them, so I didn't want to crank up the tendencies themselves tooo much. Apparently, the new ratios and tendencies are appreciated, but people still want them to block more, and so they will, though only increased on pro.

I don't wish to deny or discredit your claim, as it is indeed valid, but I would like to point out that I never promised any changes in this regard. The changes that were noted as going into the patch were not huge changes, or even minor ones, to the AI's stamina.

They mostly centered around fighter likeness and the blocking/defensive strategies.

That being said, I have in fact been investigating some of the AI's stamina management, and hope to get some meaningful updates to that yet. However, they are in fact not in the latest patch which just went live.

I'd like to make a point to this, too. While more staff can certainly be helpful, the issues surrounding the AI are not necessarily just resource dependent. That all being said, there is in fact some more hands on deck moving forward, as far as AI feedback and tuning is concerned, so I'm quite hopeful that there will be some awesome improvements coming.

I thought the same about the no elbows for Cyborg but EA probably have it right,she does have elbows in the clinch and ground and pound,this is why she has RAZOR ELBOWS for perks.
If you watch Cyborgs fights she really does punch 95% of the time and thats how she finishes her opponents,and also when she gets muay thai clinch she goes for the knees and really drives them in more so than using elbows.

EA please fix RAPHAEL ASSUNCAO height stats from the poor oversight having him at 140 cm,he is 170 cm.

Please change height to 171 cm in the next fighter update it is really annoying looking at 140 cm.

There is also an error for Glover Teixeira, He is 6'2 IRL and 6'0 in the game.

TISSUES250 what are you talking about, the pro difficulty has improved it still is not perfect but i could tell the difference straight away, Domonic Cruz was woeful in featherweight before on pro but does a lot more now.

From what i am finding out is that some fighters seem better on HARD and some are better on Pro,Sarah Mcmann for instance really goes for takedowns nonstop on pro and is really tough on the ground and she is still very good on hard difficulty.

As far as standup goes keep going through a lot of fighters and use the same matchups and do 3 fights on Hard and then do 3 fights on Pro with the same fighters and you will discover the new AI more,then keep choosing different matchups and fight multiple times on Hard and Pro.

Guys, what about make some move particulary like the superman punch, make possible the superman punch after only a forward dash like that, it will give way to a clean overhand on the move set.

Not sure when the cutoff is, but it hasn't started yet. Maybe it's filled up but I guessed it doesn't let you register because it hasn't started up yet.
