MLB 15 The Show News Post

Let's just call a spade a spade: sometimes in MLB The Show there is a player who exists only to make your life miserable.

For whatever reason, everyone has that guy they can't hit or the hitter who they can't get out. It's a natural part of baseball and its a natural part of The Show. We took some time and asked the staff who their arch nemesis is -- the answers to that question follow after the jump...

Just had a series with the Mets and Asdrubal Cabrera absolutely DESTROYED me. He went 4 for 4 with 3 home runs in one of the games! I just couldn't get the guy out. By the end, I was seriously considering intentionally walking him every time he came up to save runs!

Pitchers with very slow 12-6 curves. Don't know if it's my camera angle or what but so often they look like fastballs until they nose dive and I'm so early I could probably swing twice and still be too early.

Along the same lines, any pitcher with a straight change-up. Same reason as above.

Lefties that have "wide" deliveries that look like (again maybe it's my camera angle) the second baseman is throwing the ball. If they have any kind of sweeping sort of pitch...GG

Lead off hitters. I don't know what it is - maybe I'm too confident pitching to them, maybe I don't want to walk them because most of them are speed threats, or maybe the CPU puts power in the lead off spot, but so often, win or lose, I look at the CPU box score, and the leadoff man is the one that did most/all of the team's damage, including with the long ball.

Scott Kazmir and his entire cheese pitch load out.

Dee Gordon, I use auto fielding and throwing and I can't count the amount of times he hit a routine grounder and beat it out with his 99 speed all because my fielder patted the glove a million times before throwing it. I just finished a 4 game series with Miami and dude hit .800 for the series and stole 6 bases, it was insane.

Apparently Vance Worley is a pitching God. Every time I have to face him, I know that it's going to be tough to break up the no hitter. He's ridiculously economical with his pitches. He throws tons of borderline strikes and rarely misses his spots.

Bartolo Colon , his action just throws me off for some reason. Just can't get a hit off him. I also struggle against any pitcher during day games and all white uniforms.

For hitting Brantley is killing me and being the Cleveland fan k am i keep using him in the hope I'll get hitting with him but i can't get him over the Mendoza line.

Edwin Encarnacion.

I play a Yankees franchise so I face him a lot and I can't remember the last game I played the Blue Jays where he didn't go yard on me.

Not a particular player, but submarine delivery completely messes with me. I can't read the pitch at all.

Playing a franchise as the Dbacks, Charlie Blackmon has probably hit at least .500 against me through a season and a half. Home runs, doubles, slap singles, drag bunts.. You name it, he's done it effectively against me.

Just played against a guy online using Chris Young... All I can say is WTF, the first few innings he had me in knots with that delivery
