It's funny about earlier posts about the red blue jays jersey that Donaldson has on the cover because the Jays didn't even wear that jersey last year and Donaldson hasn't ever worn it their Canada day jerseys were white with red lettering.
Anyways I can see why it's not in the game as they wear it once a year. I would love it in the game but oh well.
Twice a year. They wear it on Ted Rogers birthday as well. Other than that you are correct, it is the wrong jersey, unless they are bringing it back this year. I hope so I like the reds better.
Well that's all well and good but every year they seem not get the overall jersey correct. All jerseys's are button down and that's inaccurate. The 70's and 80's had pullover jersey's and MLB still doesn't distinguish that. World Series Baseball had them! Yes that's way back but they had both button down and pull over. They need to not be lazy and just use one general look. I cringe when I see the White Sox 80's with the batter across the chest with a button down jersey or the new Pirates this year in the game.
Every year there is a thread people just relentlessly complain......I think I see a leading candidate lol

To be fair, every year there are uniform issues that disappoint fans of certain teams. The complaints are completely legit. Until they find a way to add all the current alternate uniforms people will still be disappointed. Uniforms are about a teams identity and as a baseball fan you want the teams to look like as close to real life as possible. That being said, we knew for months now that they hadn't added extra jersey slots so most of the jerseys that are not in the game are really no surprise.
The main issue I have this year is the choice in the DBacks alternate jerseys.
A majority of these posts though are being made just to complain though.
Uniforms seem to be always a weakness in this game, I say screw all the throwbacks, make 2016 jerseys that teams will actually wear this year all be a priority, any slts left then use them for throwbacks, I know that the files are too big so SCEA logic is quite smart if the percentage of the Seattle uniform is 13 out of 162 then it won't be in the game, but I would rather it be there then a throwback that will never been worn again like the Florida Marlins or the old Baltimore Orange
It's so good being a yankees fan and not having to worry about alts etc and only worrying about 2 uniforms for a identity it's really a excuse to sell more merchandise
There's a clear difference in color from the jersey to the hat. I don't try to see flaws/mistakes. I probably don't pick up many either...but it's clear (at least in 15). I hope it's not the same in '16.

And you have others that say screw all these alternates that are worn one time on a random Thursday night in June. I need the 1968 jerseys so I can run my franchise using correct jerseys.
God I hate console gaming. If MLB The Show weren't the only baseball game on the market, I wouldn't waste my time. So many limitations. If this were on PC, we'd be playing with every jersey imaginable and playing in stadiums with real advertisements, etc. It would be incredible what this community could do for this game if given the tools through modding, etc. Sadly, don't think we'll see that day anytime soon...
EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that I meant I wouldn't waste my time with consoles. I definitely think MLB The Show is the finest baseball game to date...just hate all limitations put on it by using a console system.

The day Sony releases a PC is the day we'll see that.
This style guide is a load of garbage. So many useless throwback uniforms that teams do not use at all, are hogging up limited jersey slots that could be used for alternate jerseys that teams use weekly. Include all the home, away, alternates, and throwbacks that teams wear weekly in the game and keep out the useless ones. The new spring training jerseys aren't even in the game. A lot them are current alternates, however some are not. I don't know how teams are gonna go about BP jerseys in the season but the old ones still exist, hogging up slots. Huge Pirates fans, i can promise you they won't be wearing the white pinstriped jerseys and the old red and blue jerseys this year. Hogging up slots for their Thursday home game camo jersey's. Uniforms are so neglected in this beautiful game. Get rid of the style guide and watch the games played everyday from April to October and see what teams truly are wearing. Colors are also still messed up too, the Pirates black alternates still look charcoal grey and not black. These things have to be fixed. I don't mean to note just the Pirates because every team has jerseys missing and color mess ups and it's a shame.
I don't think it's as simple as "get rid of the style guide."
If they are using it for this long, it's probably mandated.
If you want them to not use the style guide, you'll probably have to demand they don't use the MLB License. And then you won't have uniforms, stadiums or team names.

Yea that's because they were released 2 months ago and there wasn't enough to get them into the game. And they didn't know about them. Also not all of the jerseys worn during the season aren't in the style guide.
And like CMH said, if you get rid of the style guide, you get rid of all the MLB stuff like players, coaches, teams, etc. And as I brought up before there are players that are the complete opposite of you and are saying get rid of this jersey the Pirates are wearing for one, single random Tuesday night in June and give me the 1968 jersey because I need it for my 1968 Pirates franchise I am using.

They don't take it seriously, it's useless if they aren't adding in jersey's that are worn weekly but keeping in jersey's that are from 1934. We all want to see what's being worn on tv in the game. It truly takes away from the game no matter how great it is.

You may want it...but you don't speak for everyone.
This is garbage.
I really wish they would take the Red Sox 'Hanging Socks' alternate caps out of the style guide already. They haven't worn those caps since April 22nd, 2011 (and yes, I had to look up that date haha)
But digging up that date just shows how out of date some of these team's style guides are!

I asked this in another thread but this was the one I was actually looking for:
Does anyone know why the Cubs gray alternate is no longer in the game? Are they not wearing it this year? I'm referring to the gray jersey that says "CUBS" across the chest.
