NBA 2K16 Shot Tweak Arrives Today For Green Releases & Contest Three Pointers

Mike Wang mentioned on Twitter that a shot tweak will be arriving this morning for NBA 2K16, making green releases easier on high percentage shots, along with a slight hit for contested three pointers.

	Shooting update going out late tonight that should make it slightly easier to get greens on open shots. One (hopefully) last shot tweak 2AM PST. Easier greens on high % shots & slight hit to contested 3's. Curious to read everyone's feedback.

Typically when you're used as a Guinea pig, you get paid for the trials but instead I spent $100 (including preorder night discounted VC) to get a game that I have to readjust to every time I play it. Not to mention that in 2016, we're playing a basketball game that is still controlled mainly by animations. 2K raved about how basketball IQ and playing the right way would be rewarded when it's really who can create the most favorable animation opportunities.

They've also tweaked their responsibilities post-release because when my file actually corrupts, I lose VC I paid for all because 2K doesn't want to feel taken advantage of. It's sad to see such an extensive partnership come to an end but just like I ended my 19 years of loyalty to the Lakers this year, it's time I give up on the 2K series.

It's sad they jump at the complaints of all the more popular community members but I, a basketball junkie, player and coach have volunteered my services free of charge on several occasions to improve the quality of the actual basketball game with no response. At least Live gives you a real basketball experience. I'd be better off playing NBA Jam.

Just FYI, if you disagree, I don't care. Save yourself the carpal tunnel in typing a response.

The only real difference I'm noticing right now is that corner threes net me a green release 9 times out of 10, assuming I get the release correct.

Otherwise, I don't really notice any difference in the shooting. I have games where I'm lights out and games where I can't hit a thing. Basically, how it's always been.

This, only thing is, I cant hit a midrange shot to save my life in the Park with my outside C.

Same...my brothers don't have to worry about guys dribbling like madmen just to get that little bit of separation just so he can chuck it and make the shot.

I do have issues with centers shooting threes though.

C's can make consecutive 3s as well as 3s off dribble and 3s contested so this tells me shooting is friendly enough from the perimeter. We should consider that with a boost: these Outside bigs can reach 80 on 3s then more when warmed up.

Misses are still possible when left open which I appreciate. I get bored relying ok open shots alone so I appreciate those games where my shots are clanking. I then start to look for my teammates who may be warmed up in a groove and I look to facilitate for them thru my driving ability.

Outside of 3s: I still trust the middy. 👌

Did they tweak it again? All the guys do is dribble dribble then step back dribble cash.....over the weekend that step back then shoot wasn't always money....

It was fine this weekend then they ****ed it up again.....god I hate twitter so much....the people here were praising the changes then not even a few days it went downhill again...

I also blame the two casuals LD2k and Ronnie...they bow down easy to the casuals...

What are some of y'all whining for? You all wanted everyone to start bricking again for 'realism', so here we are!

Btw, I'm still getting a decent number of greens, but slightly early and late shots seem to have taken a pretty good hit. The shot grades on some of these open shots are head scratchers.

Haven't played yet but you guys are telling me he changed the shooting once again lol? The shooting was fine but if he lowered it to back how it was before all the updates and left the midrange alone, great.

Bottom line though, someone needs to take charge of that room because it's obvious Mike can't help himself. It's sad how much the shootings been changed in just a few weeks.

Me personally, I just want them to pick a direction and stick to it. One week everything goes in, the next week it's brick city.
