EA Sports UFC 2 News Post

EA Sports revealed the full EA Sports UFC 2 roster today. In short, the roster is rather large with several notable names which you'd expect to see with the various weight classes from Heavyweight to Flyweight for the men and Strawweight and Bantamweight for the women.

There are also numerous fighters who appear in more than one weight class, so keep that in mind as you look through the list.

Check out the full list at the link below and let us know if there are any notable omissions from the official roster...

After taking out duplicates, legends and some retired fighters it looks like my Universe will be starting out with 251 total fighters. No longer will I spend the majority of my UFC time creating fighters. I can actually play instead.

Spoiler

Great list of omissions. I'd like to see all of them in at some point. Ed Herman's been in the UFC for 30 years. My dude can't get a roster spot?

I'm struggling to decide whether I want to save myself the grief of creating separate profiles for each division or if 20 will be enough.

Other than the people on your list, I would like to see Andre Fili, Jimmie Rivera, Kevin Lee, Makdessi, Johnny Case, Tibau, Matt Wiman, John Howard and Akiyama.

....it looks like I'll be creating a ton of fighters again.

They could add him in via DLC I'm sure that they're going to add more than just Sage. I assume there will be packs like the last game and if there is there should be three fighters added along with Sage.

I saw things like that on EA's forum, as well. Just because there's some fighters are in more than one weight class or are in weigh classes that they haven't fought in yet in real life, doesn't mean that they took some else's spot. It just means that they are available for more matchups.... which is awesome.

I'm hoping that guys who have already fought in other weight classes are available in those divisions, as well. Recently Cerrone and Masvidal fought at WW, Conor is about to fight at WW, Myles Jury is moving to Featherweight, Tim Boestch is fighting at LHW, etc..

Plus, in the past a lot of Flyweight's have also fought as BW's, Dennis Siver and Jeremy Stephens fought at LW and I'm sure there's plenty of others. I just want as many matchups available to me as possible. And I would much rather them guess in get out in front of it than to have to wait on a patch that may never come... cough, cough Pickett at Flyweight in UFC 1.

Maybe they'll have an old school TUF pack with Ed Herman, Cole Miller, Patrick Cote and Josh Burkman.

I don't think I will need more than two profiles honestly.

My minor grip aside the roster is pretty damn deep and much better then last year there's at least a good 25-35 fighters per division give or take

Do you mean Forrest Griffin? He is in the game.

aholbert32, can you say if guys like Rampage and Cro Cop are rated to how they are currently (irl) or if they are rated closer to what they were in their prime?

Great roster, as always there could be more, but I'm pretty happy. I'm sure there will be some dlc like last year, definitely the best roster an mma game or maybe even a fighting game has ever had.

I'm disappointed about Coté not being in, but aside from that the roster is awesome. Really great, and the sheer number of possibilities are phenomenal.

This year the game doesn't have a rating scale low enough in "Stamina" to accurately portray him in the game according to his last fight with Mama50

I honestly dont remember.

Nate, why is it silly? Another game won't come out for two years (if at all), & Jones has already said he's going to Heavyweight soon. And we all know DC isn't a Heavyweight because of Cain, which in my opinion is silly, & we can rectify this. with the IV ban, more fighters at their natural weight class (& this game trying to predict that) is great.

Albert Tumenov

WSW
Karolina Kowalkiewicz
Jessica Aguilar

WBW
Valentina Shevchenko

Of those Dunham is the only one that I would really miss and that's because I'm a big fan of his. Just missing those few is really impressive.
I could have swore that Tumenov and Magomedov were confirmed a while back...

That is still not nearly enough spots.

Why would he be in the game if hasn't been in the UFC in almost 6 years?

Mike Bohn confirmed them but he may have been mistaken or they could be DLC. Abel Trujillo was in a trailer and he isnt in the launch roster.
