Looks like Bryant, Russell, Schwarber, Correa, Khris Davis, Gennett all have generic faces and weren't scanned
Maybe they have not had chance to update it as of yet. WIP! Save some of this crab when game hits the stores. Geez! The sound wasn't working right. The field was too dark. Blah! Blah!
Maybe those guys that you have mentioned probably was not available when they were in there town.
You have freedom of speech and can say what you feel. But take a step back and maybe you didn't mean anything about it.
Like the guys above have mentioned, lets remember this is still a work in progress. Also, try to remember that the game isn't released until March 29th, they still have about a month and a half left to fine tune things...
While true, people seem to think switching broadcasting teams immediately makes commentary better.
Right now, they have years and years of added lines and it makes little sense to just erase all of that to switch to a new team unless you are ready for years of minimal commentary.
Baseball is probably one of the hardest games to combine commentary for every scenario that you have.
Not sure how many other sports games you've played but we've seen time and time again that swapping one commentary team with another has nothing but negative effects for at least three years.
The most success we've ever seen from a commentary team was actually a fictitious team.

Can you clarify what you mean? While watching the stream I was really glad to see that all the Cubs rookies DID have their actual pictures and not just the computer generated images.
You can see on the scoreboard while they're batting. Maybe I'm missing something here (I'm being honest, you guys tend to have a much better eye for things)
Nah, they're usually 1+ years behind on the face scans due to how their process works. Guys like Schwarber and Russell and probably Bryant even won't have face scans until '17 because they will be getting scanned in ST this year.
On another note, I think some folks are taking this WIP thing to beyond its logical conclusion. lol. Sure we know the game isn't finished, but we can't explain away every complaint with "WIP."
I almost expect someone to be disappointed that there aren't yet animatronic dinosaurs playing pinochle during the 7th inning stretch of games followed by someone swiftly responding with "dude, WIP". I get this weird mental image of the "WIP police" being kinda like the "PC police" in South Park.

He's talking about their actual faces on the player models. The photos of the players are in there and fine, but the heads on the actual player models are just "ok" for most players unless they've been captured by a face scan, which SCEA does during Spring Training each year. Or unless Motown makes the face. Then it's also photorealistic.
Each stream we get looks more and more amazing. I love the new animations. The fluid movements make it look real and the game isn't even completed yet. You would think a baseball game would be simple, but each year this team pushes out more and more, making a great game even greater. There is an endless amount of things that can be added, yet each year the game feels complete. Then we get these sneak peaks of what's new and it's like wow it's even better than last year.
Keep up the great work and thank you from all of us for being dedicated and loving the game of baseball. It really shows in the game.

Ohhh, okay. So it'll be kinda like what we had with user-created faces from last year's OSFM, but created by SCEA instead. I'm okay with that as long as we finally have the real life picture. It's one of the reasons I'm going to start a new Cubs franchise instead of carrying over. That and cause I killed the CPU on trades back in MLB 14 so my team had gotten way too good.
I really hope they have day/dusk/night scenes for every city. (at least day/night)

Now I'm just even more anxious to see what happened with franchise...only mode I play. Fingers are crossed that the scouting/draft process was re-vamped!
I wish i could like this post more than once! ^

.....
I was gunna say, don't they scan most guys during spring training... theres still hope

No, because scanned during Spring Training '16 means they don't get in until MLBTS 17. They are about 1 year behind due to the dev cycle...they can't frantically go scanning everyone in Feb/March and have enough time to finalize the visual 'assets' and meet a 3/29 release deadline.
So there's hope for '17, but very little for '16 if you want face scans for rookies from last year. My understanding is...
2015 - Player debuts in MLB
2016 ST - Ramone et al hunts player down in AZ or FL and tosses into face scanner
2017 - Face scan appears triumphantly in game
On another note, they mentioned custom bullpen cameras. Meaning when you're in the pitcher warmup screen, each team should have their proper camera angle peering in at the pen.
Obviously the ratings are the same. I'm talking about the pie chart. Does the size of each piece represent 0-99 or 20-80 (based on the 0-99)? I thought they mentioned that the 20-80 scale will be in franchise. At first glance I assumed the pie chart was it.

All of the guys were in ST last year and everyone knew they would be called up very soon. I'm pretty sure they already got scanned. As for Bryant and Schwarber they have there personal stances and swings as well.
I also noticed Machado and Gausman have improved scans this year.

I think pointing out some of the errors or things that should be fixed may be helpful at this point. The devs read the forum and might have time to make a fix, If not there is no harm in trying to assist.

Regardless of projected call up dates can someone be scanned if they aren't yet part of the MLBPA?
