Madden NFL 16 News Post

A new Madden NFL 16 patch has arrived today, giving players the ability to play-a-friend in Draft Champions mode.

Quote:
You’ll start Draft Champions Play-A-Friend by drafting a new squad. From there, you’ll have the opportunity to play up to 5 games with that drafted team against members from your friends list.

After 5 games, the process will start over and you’ll need to draft another team. We also give you the ability to reset your team and re-draft once every 24-hours.

In addition to the arrival of Draft Champions Play-A-Friend, this Patch also includes some key stability fixes that improves a few known in-game crashes.

@TheGamersLab Pretty sure we got that one. Not every fix is contained in the notes.

*And there you guys go. Guess we start combing the game to see whats what. Anxious to see what people are seeing as I get through this work day.

I've had that freeze before, so, I'm glad that was fixed.

If they fixed the ability to turn the passing cam off in CMF I'll be happy.

Really hope the patch also allowed the XP sliders for offline franchises.

I played DC mode a bit just after release. I had fun with it. Then I got into my franchises and just never went back. Maybe I'll go back and check it out this weekend again.

I really wish they would list the fixes.

I'm grateful for their dedication, and I love seeing just how hard these guys work to improve the game and make it more sim--their work this year has been off the charts.

But it's frustrating to have to go in and play a bunch more games to figure things out when you've got your sliders calibrated and are trying to just lock and load and play.

If we could even just get the general areas that were improved, it would help us know where to look for differences and it would help minimize the time spent figuring out where to tweak sliders, if necessary.

I don't really think there was improvement to game play or CFM in this patch. There was only a 3 week difference between the last patch and this one.

Rex's twitter time line from the recent past includes people reporting bugs that either Rex reported fixed for upcoming patch or we are on it.

I would be surprised if it was much more than that.

Wow.....that is an awesome addition.

I want to play Draft Champions against my friends. They are really listening to the fans of the game big time. Seriously....great job on Madden 16 guys. What a game.

Your setting a high bar gents. True dedication to this game for the first time IMO since PS2 days. You can see the love oozing out of the game this year.

Is there an actual Patch Notes list or was DC vs friends the only thing that's been mentioned?

If we can adjust the quarter length and play clock then this mode will get HUGE play time from us. If not then we will just continue to run our 15 min quarter match ups against one another with regular teams. It would be fun to mix a little fantasy football vibe with our madden match ups.

I tweeted Rex hoping I could get a answer if this is possible, but I highly doubt it.

Are the XP sliders for offline CFM unlocked yet???

Appreciate them adding this in. I feel spoiled by Rex and his team with all these patches and tuners. I can remember years past when the second patch would drop in October and that was it for the rest of the year you wouldn't even hear from the Dev's until the following June. This gives me great hope for a rebuilt CFM in 17!

Not complaining. Hopefully in M17 they bring back Cpu vs Cpu in CFM

Someone tweeted Clint Oldenburg a few weeks ago about the issue, said it was the first he'd heard about it, but they'd look into it, so it's not totally surprising given the window this patch came out in, but damn...

... oh well...

Edit: I am going to start a new online CFM, though, just to be sure.

I'm with you Sheba, but I am a little concerned over all the love being shown to DC. Franchise (cfm) was neglected before when it had to compete against just MUT, now with DC in the mix, and considering the state CFM was released in this year vs DC, I'm wondering where/how they will find the "dev time" to dedicate to franchise (cfm). Guess we'll find out in 8 months.

That being said, this is great news for those that like DC. Options are always a good thing.

I'm not that concerned yet about CFM for next year. Rex said CFM was in a critical need to upgrade for Madden 17.

Plus, he's linking Shopmaster's website and telling people to DM on Twitter for ideas.

If I remember right, I think you had to restart online cfm to get the slider to work.

You can now adjust the DBs AND the LBs and DLine. Before if you adjusted the DBs you couldn't adjust the other two. Or if you adjusted either of the other two first and then the DBs they'd revert.

Is the invisible player bug fixed? How about offline xp sliders?
