10 Confirmed Colleges in NBA 2K16

There are 9 confirmed college teams in NBA 2K16. Thanks to eagle-eyed Chickenney from the Forums. We've heard there are 10 college teams in the game, so we will update this post if that last team gets confirmed.

UPDATE: 9/21 Confirmation from 3 people with the game, Wisconsin is the 10th college in NBA 2K16.

UPDATE: 9/22 Based off of what we have heard from multiple sources, NBA 2K16 fans will be able to play 3 high school games and 4 college games in MyCAREER mode.

It's like people want to know everything about the game up front. Whatever happened to having a sense of mystery? That's one of the weaknesses of movie trailers, they show me the whole movie during the trailer there's no point in going to watch it. I like to hear little tid bits about the game, but I don't need to know everything.

It's NBA 2k and not college 2k so I don't expect them to put so much in the college part of the story.

I feel like which colleges offer you, might be based on your position. The guy in the video had a C or a PF. Kaminsky already holds that spot, Wisconsin didn't offer him? I can't think of any other school listed that had a good C go into the NBA this year

Definitely leaning towards Villanova for my PG. And for my PF, I am leaning towards Texas.

The Cap doesnt matter i dont want my guy to have to increase his mid and 3 pt rating just to increase my freethrow or increase my speed to hav a good dunk rating and on top of all that my guy will end up being just like the next guy who had choosen my same starting play style so im no longer unique im a carbon copy

what if i wanted to make a small athletic quick pg who cant dunk but is amazing a euros and layups cant do that with the bucket system because in order to increase speed my dunking also has to go up. i dont want to have to limit myself and force myself to remember not to hold turbo so i dont pull off a dunk and break my imersion

I'm gonna pick Georgetown.... with the hope that it makes a quicker easier connection to AI, so I can get his cross over.

Surely the college you pick will have an effect on your connections, well that's what I'm thinking.

Also, your college season is 2015-16. They showed a pic indicating your NBA rookie season is 2016-17 so as not to mess up this year's draft.

I saw Michigan and Kansas. They looked really good.

Really accurate Adidas uniforms.

Haven't seen any screenshots of Nike schools.

Man, I wish NBA 2K would do like WWE 2k is doing this year... Have 100 created spots.

With how awesome their setup is now with MyLeague - could you imagine having in depth create a team options? You could create 100 universities (Have all the big 10 - ACC - SEC - etc) teams in the game all created by users.

This wouldn't be a trademark issue either b/c they'll all be created by the community - 2K would have nothing to do with it.

Before the lawsuit that killed college sports gaming, NCAA Football had this really neat feature called Teambuilder. You could make schools, uniforms and fields that EA didn't have the licenses to anymore, like Division I-AA/FCS schools such as Wofford.

2K doing that would be frickin' awesome.

I still like the fact that we start in highschool and then college, exciting stuff. But would be really cool if international option was included, so for example if I'm from Europe I could choose to play a season or two in Euroleague, since all teams are in the game.

I know they only showed the myplayer in the nets during the trailer, but I doubt that'll be the case, to many people wouldn't like it

Great point. I'm italian and i would like to create a player and play for example with Sassari and then go to the NBA. 2k has all the Euroleague teams, it's not impossible

I plan on making a defense first athletic PG and play for Arizona hopefully Stanley Johnson and Hollis-Jefferson is there as well I am implying this cause the speculation on the Kansas Kelly Oubre (may not have been him) 3 defensive athletic perimeter players seems fun
