NBA 2K16 MyCAREER Trailer: The Whole Story

2K today unveiled the NBA 2K16 and Spike Lee Joint, MyCAREER: The Whole Story trailer. Players can expect a complex and unique journey on their path from high school to college to NBA stardom. This trailer also showcases this year's NBA 2K16’s MyCAREER experience, including fully customizable courts, player connections and additional innovative features.

I still have a lot of questions about the high school basketball in terms of whether we all play for the same team, how many games, just the district championship, etc.

But on what was revealed:

1. MyCourt looks really, really cool. I've been a huge backer of NFL 2K5's The Crib and MyCourt appears to be its spirit animal. I've said this before, but I value something tangible when playing through a career or franchise - something that's mine - like having my awards on the wall or, in the case of NFL 2K5, being able to improve my house with better televisions, framed jerseys, etc.

I'll be curious to see if MyCourt still holds a solid enough purpose even for those who aren't online. It looks like there's potential.

2. Practice looks way cooler than I imagined initially. Again, it's still wait and see, but I was expecting it just being my player shooting around blindly with his teammates, or playing a bit of 5-on-5 via scrimmage. I'm really intrigued by the drills.

Wooow... I love it. The drills are beautiful. And seeing that, it would make so much sense to bring back the Draft Combine and make performance in drills a part of your draft stock.

I haven't played with the myplayer mode since 2k10, like never touched it at all just not my thing, BUT it would be a sin and a shame for me to continue that routine with 2k16 this year, this is amazing looking like GTA meets 2k basketball. From a strictly offline association mode guy I applaud 2k for a mode like this well done.

I'm glad Rainbow Six Siege got pushed back. Now, I can just focus on 2k for a month straight before another game comes out.
