Madden NFL 16 Patch Scheduled to Arrive Tomorrow, Roster Update Later in the Week

Rex Dickson, creative director of the Madden NFL series, has posted on Twitter that the next Madden 16 patch will go live on Wednesday.

This patch is hotly anticipated as it should help solve some CFM issues that are currently ruining in-game progression, as well as long-term progression for particular positions.

Once we get the patch notes, we will pass them along. Also, as is usually the case, the patches may go live at different points on each console.

heh ... me too. kinda can't start a cfm until it's all here.

although in saying that. knowing some sort of workaround/ solution will be in place for the overdone xp & confidence thing in cfm, is pretty sweet.

Since I feel like I've made my sliders work with minor tweaks, I'll have to start my CCM over tomorrow. I didn't know about these problems when I downloaded and started my Franchise on the EA Access Preview Version. But then again I usually reset my Franchise 3-4 times a year anyway, so it's not a big deal for me.

Must have missed that one. So that means the big four for me will be fixed hopefully. Sky high boosts on game, bad cfm prospects, supersim, and bad progression and regression.

For the first time in a decade (minus the false hope when they brought back owner mode in madden 25 I guess...) I am actually excited about madden. Can't wait to start a CFM with my buddies.

This. I tried downloading a roster literally fifteen times. No luck.

Yea this year is really nice. I got excited for the animation system in 13, and the Owner Mode in 25, but the gameplay was off. So far this year it feels really good out of the box on All Pro. After a couple of games I did have to turn QB Accuracy Slider for CPU, and Human Pass Defense since both games the opposing QB was perfect until the end of the game. Now I'm getting much more realistic numbers based on my own skill level. I feel like when I make a mistake, or lose, it's completely my fault, and not like I was screwed. I'm getting close games that come down to the wire, and even having a blast when I lose. Just like I have lost my last 2 games to the Giants and Seahawks. Lol

for a real game feel try jarrod21` sliders .. been using them for last 3 maddens he has 4 different sliders for beginners to ultimate challenge .. very realistic stats and play

I've missed that as well. I am hoping this is true. Been craving to play a Career with my CB, but it's useless since the offense cannot do anything. Can't wait to see the patch notes.

Great news! Hope it drops tomorrow too in the European PSN store (doubtful)

Top three fixes for me would be:
- Adjusted SPD & DAC for generated draft classes
- Fixed OT regression bug
- Fixed bug where AI will be making awful/crazy trades for user teams even with everything set to OFF

EDIT: WELP! Needless to say, the in-game confidence boost >100 is a must fix!
Anything else is gravy, but those three above really kill the replayability of CFM. Hoping for the best!

Patches aren't downloaded through the PSN store, you're just randomly prompted to download it when your PS4 is on and in rest mode. You'll get a notification on your top left screen that you're downloading a update for Madden.

Good point! But I do reckon it usually taking more time (sometimes a couple of days) before european users are prompt to download the patches, I might be wrong... Let's hope I am

Honestly though, I'm pretty sure there aren't any delays when it comes to patches.

It's to be remained to be seen what the patch actually fixes but I'm excited. I literally haven't even touched CFM yet since I was waiting on this and if it does what they say it does and fixes the majority of the issues, I'll give them credit considering they could have done a lot worse than September 9th.

I know another fix with be the offsides encroachment penalty too.

Turned on my PS4 and no patch prompt in the upper left corner yet.

Now I know that since I started a CFM, there is nothing they can do to make the already drafted players have lower ratings. But do I have to restart my CFM to get all the other fixes, progression, etc?

Because I have a great CFM going, I can handle having one superstar draft class if it means I dont have to restart.
