NBA 2K16 Adds '00-'01 Lakers & '03-'04 Pistons to the List of Classic Teams

2K Sports has added the '00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers (previously revealed) & '03-'04 Detroit Pistons to the list of classic teams in NBA 2K16.

There will be 12 new classic teams added this year, 7 of them have now been confirmed.

Here is the list of confirmed classic teams so far:

'03-'04 Detroit Pistons
'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors
'07-08 Boston Celtics
'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

Two more teams will be revealed next Thursday.

I really hope some other franchises beside from Lakers/Bulls/Celtics/Spurs will get some more Classic Teams. Suns had 2 epic teams in the past. Nets were awesome. So no need for another Spurs team.

I truly hope visual concepts upgraded the player models of the already made legendary teams (seeing as they added these new ones). They look atrocious on this generations controls. From the too small jersey numbers to greats like Michael Jordan looking like a random player.

Remaining 5 I'm hoping for.... 2000 Pacers, 04 T-wolves, 02 nets, 06 Heat and 92 Suns.... This is my realistic list that I think could happen. That only leaves the Grizzlies and the Clippers unrepresented with a classic team. (New Orleans is excluded because they are to young and I'm counting the Sonics for Okc)

Don't think they'd add another '01 team, they already have the 76ers in.

Also, can't wait to use the '01 Lakers, hopefully Shaq isn't soft on offense like he was in 2K15 though.

It's great to have all of these classic teams. I just hope that we can finally use them in online ranked games.

I don't know if I'll ever use the team or add any of the players to my legends MyLeague, but still a must have. Here's to hoping the Wolves are next week!
