After looking at a few more videos online, the game is just sped up with the same old animations and a few new ones in the running engine...

What does that have to do with what he said? Don't think they're net, rim or ball physics are trash either. Sounds on the other hand? Oh boy. But anyway, this deflecting stuff needs to go die in a multitude of fires.

Everything looks so Free flowing. But they need more signature to win me over ...

Sounds like 2K to huh. You dont think that 2k comes up with a new game every year do you?

Ya'll literally going to respond to every bit of criticism about Live with "but 2k does this" comments?

Goodness fellas

This definitely isn't "sped up"

That's a joke. On Live 15 you ran past anyone no problem. Collisions were terrible. This is a lot more free flowing as said before. Sometimes you are slower, sometimes you are faster.

See.... You don't just slow everything down to slow motion just to make animations look smoothly... I see some games do that..... cough.. and dunks at times are done in completely slow motion for the sake of looking pretty...

I like the game speed overall...

Bottom line: I wanted to love Live 15 by far more than 2K. I left Live 15 for a few reasons: Post patch 3 gameplay was terrible. Shooting under 20% from mid range and 3. Post game looks medicore, and you could score in the post at will.

Not to mention bugs...

I will take the looks and free-flowing gameplay all day, even if it doesn't always look the smoothest. Bottom line is, you are in way more control... And it gives a completely different spin than 2k does. I think those things are fair to say without turning into a comparison battle..

As long as Live is close I'll always pick Live above 2K. Even if it's a slightly worse game, the freedom of movement is great. As long as gameplay is balanced.... it can only be better than last year. With balanced gameplay, and more animations.. I'm more than won over.

Not going to lie, it doesn't look great overall.

But I see some flashes of brilliances. More than I can say for the other game.

The inconsistency in the passing just turns me off. From the floatiness (see the pass from OOB to Kyrie after the Draymond layup) to players leaving their feet totally unnecessarily to throw a pass to the game not being able to recognize and play out a believable passing animation given the context (usually on close passes that aren't handoffs). Handoffs look good though, very smooth and that Bron stepback/gather looked good.

I feel the same way. The other game has gotten stale to me.

It looks a lot better than Live 15 and the guys weren't even playing the game properly. Thats all I care about. I just want the game to get better every year. We NEED to basketball games to battle it out every year.

# 32 zrohman @ 07/07/15 06:52 PM
I should have mentioned that you could score at will DRIVING the ball, not just in the post...

I'm seeing good things.

Passes still look floaty. Post game needs to get worked on. But it's radically improved and only getting better. Looking forward to it.

It looks better when you see videos showing the action more closely, but I'd have to agree with everyone else regarding the people playing the game. It's hard to judge the nuances when some jacklegger is just dribbling back and forth at the top of the key for 15 seconds at a clip. I want to see plays being run, guys posting up, pick and roll, pick and pop, etc.

The hunchback syndrome is obviously never going away, so I guess I'll just have to get used to it if I want to play something different this year. 2k is a great game, but I need a break.

Graphics look good but whoever is playing on the sticks is ruining the marketing..........

Game is looking good and still a lot of time to make it better.

I read that you should be looking to get 50% releases for a great shot. I think only freethrows will give you the 100% possibility. Also, who knows what difficulty this is on.

Although its minor, that line connecting from one player to the other showing him to guard just looks weird to me

I agree, that line is totally not needed.

I think it's a good thing, he takes that same shot w. that same percentage 3 times in a row, chances are he makes one out of 3. 36% 3pt shooting isnt too bad at all really, not great, but not bad ..

The faces so far are really good, I hope it's free flowing like they sayit is. Penetration was too stiff when I tried 15. And I did not like the feel of the post. I would like to see more vids though.
