Madden NFL 16 News Post



This week’s episode is a deep dive into the modifications and improvements in this fall’s upcoming Madden NFL 16. Host Rich Grisham is joined by two of the leading designers of Madden’s Connected Franchise Mode, including Creative Director Kolbe Launchbaugh and Designer John White. The three discuss a host of additions and changes to CFM, including the updated goals framework, new scouting and draft options, updated commissioner tools, and a host of other items.

I play friends in person; I play in MUT and Play Now...I generally understand how to manipulate the game, as it is like any other game with loopholes...My stick skills are mainly from first person shooters, so I have twitch ability... And IMO this madden game can be played with NFL football tactics as I have done it...It is key to user control key players...

I know CFM plays different than other modes, hence the difference, generally in sliders...I have been playing default sliders lately as the sliders have become a source of frustration..

I look forward to playing an internet game; I haven't played head to head over the internet because I have poor internet connection, even Battlefield 4 lags on me..

I believe what he said was, first unlock-unlocks players best (highest) attribute.
Second unlock - unlocks players second best attribute.
3rd unlock, unlocks players 3rd best attribute. Either the third one unlocks his "true draft value " also, or that would be a 4th unlock.

Don't know where to put this or even if it was mentioned.
Josh Looman tweeted last night the he did not work on CFM this year & directed any questions about CFM to @KolbeL.

"I was in a completely different role on Madden this year and was not involved with the new CFM features."

Taking some heat possibly, or just hammered with questions of what else is in CFM this year?

Per the podcast it's 3 unlocks, one attribute per, and the third unlocks true value also.

I just want 1 question answered.. Is the ticker only a goal ticker or will it update you on things going on around your cfm league?? can I please get a direct answer for this....

also all of this talk about sim vs casual.... casual players are sheep.. all they do is follow what the majority does... make a game for your hardcore fans.. get good word of mouth and the casuals will follow... look at nba 2k..thats why they are the most acclaimed sports game. period.

And again.. belittling others who don't have the same likes/dislikes or concerns is ridiculous.

@skyboxer... forget the statement.. that's the frustration with ea coming out.. but back to the question that I posted in two threads to get a faster answer.. what's up with the ticker?? can anyone elaborate?

@skyboxer.. I use the term sheep because I played 2k since 2knothing and everyone was playing live.. but I kept telling them 2k is more realistic and that's all you need to be successful.. they laughed.. 13 years later the more realistic game is still around and they play 2k now all of a sudden... the one that doesn't listen to its hardcore fans is on life support.. casuals go with the wind but passionate fans keep you around.. hence madden needs to start listening to its hardcore fans quickly... now whats up with the ticker????????????

Its not uncommon for all the threads to be derailed to a common thread of discontent, but this has to be a first.

Last 24 hours have been rough for sure.

Overall I'm just waiting for gameplay news/vids.

The CFM stuff is ok with me, sounds improved in a couple ways I'm happy about.

Just gotta see the game in action.

So , i would like to know, was regression tuned up as well as confidence, or just confidence?

Reason i ask is, it sure would seem like something they would mention as they mentioned tuning confidence so much because , well quite frankly it was poorly done last year. However not one thing have i heard in any interview with him , nor any posting ive seen even mentioned anything about regression , other than if your player has alot of turnovers ( ints or fumbles) they may regress. So im curious, was it touched? Or will every draft be people needing WRs and CBs in the first two rounds alot , due to every single WR or DB as well as some HBs who turn 30 , all the sudden turn in to grandpas and lose alot of speed and accel all the sudden? This was just as huge an issue as confidence really, so i find it odd that nothing has been mentioned about this yet.
