Well, compared to most other modes HUT got infinite more resources since most other modes were missing, but I guess most resources went into getting it working on current gen despite skipping one year.
Then they have a smaller team than other EAsports teams, I understand that too.
Well, I will leave my bitterness and disappointment from last year and look forward to tuesday to begin with and try to evaluate which direction this year's game might head.

Im not a *****, I hope EA will get redemption for NHL15 because I want to play a good enough hockey game again. That is all I hope for :-)
Not being able to play my favorite sports game for a year isnt good for me obviously

That said, theyre better not screw this one up!

Yeah, that would be a wet dream!

If the only feature they add was eashl and improve an already good product on the ice I would be happy!

What i'm really hoping for outta '16' is, that gameplay wise, the AI has been vastly improved. That we're given the choice of playing the at times, dirty grinding game that the sport can be. Rather than the up and down, back and forth borefest we have now imo, vs the lame AI. In my opinion anyway, the up and down garbage we have now is a big reason why every game vs the AI, all feel exactly the same. Zzzz. Ie, a feature called 'True hardcore'.

I dont think what we hear or read from them even really matters at this point. Their box claims have been lies for ages, and recent press b.s. is getting worse. Its nice to know what to "expect", but the gameplay needs a SERIOUS improvement or I think this series is done. People are wise to their garbage and this may be the last time I even check EA's NHL game out for the foreseeable future. It is a serious embarrassment to the sport.

Hopefully they have adjustable season length in GM mode this year. I'm too much of a control freak to want to sim a ton of games, but I don't want to play 82 games a season myself either.

I believe that this franchise could be pushed to the next level if the devs could figure out a way to take a page from NBA 2Ks book and implemented specific player tendencies. Patrick Kane should have a higher shot/deke tendency than Johnny Oduya. players like Ovechkin should have a higher tendency to carry the puck while others like Backstrom should be more likely to move the puck to someone else faster. Stuff like that.

I can tell all of you right now what NHL16 will be like.

It will be what NHL15 should have been so it will be the gameplay from NHL15 with the game modes from NHL14, 69,95$ - Thank you sir.

Defensive upgrades. Goalie improvement. These HAVE to be a part of the feature reveal, or I'm going to suspect they haven't done much to improve either for NHL 16. And that will GREATLY damper my enthusiasm for the game, which isn't that high to begin with.

From a gameplay standpoint, these are my primary three areas that need improvement..

1. GOALIES- We need a complete overhaul to goalie play. This includes all new animations and goalies that play like their real life counterparts. (I am REALLY hoping that they overhauled goalies this year)

2. PLAYER DIFFERENTIATION- This is mentioned time and time (and time) again. But the NHL series really suffers from every player looking/feeling the same on the ice. One of the posters above nailed it, we need a true player differentiation system like NBA 2K has. We need players to look, skate and perform how they would in real life.

Right now I cannot tell the difference from any player on the ice (at any position) other then speed and shot power. The NHL team needs to step up here in a BIG WAY..

3. Defense (Skill Stick?)- Year after year in this series we have seen a constant emphasis on adding tools for the offense. It is time that this series puts a heavy emphasis on the defense. As the game is currently programmed, the most effective way to play defense is to skate around as fast as you can and try to decapitate people. This is not even remotely close to how hockey is truly played. Most games have 1-2 big hits (Max) and a majority of them are along the boards.

We need defensive tools to help counter the offense in this game. We should have some sort of defensive skill stick, that allows us to do more then just a basic poke check or lift stick (Both are significantly nerfed) and the game needs some kind of jostling system implemented, similar to what FIFA has in their game.

EDITE- AI is an area that needs significant improvement as well. However, that has been discussed in detail many times in various threads.

Player separation should be a huge focus this year. It's hard to really "fear" Crosby because I can make Daniel Sedin feel like Sidney Crosby.

Pfff. You mustn't be very good at this game. I can make Tanner Glass feel like Sidney Crosby!

I am not expecting an apology from that guy. EA never admits to any mistakes they have committed and that will not change now.

I am so skeptic about NHL 16. Bring back the modes and team/player differentiation, sliders that WORK, more realism and much much improvement in BaGM:
- drafting
- scouting
- FA signings
- playoff atmosphere (not just the decal of playoff or towel waving, but the intensity of the game) Create-a-Team - especially if you want to transfer a franchise to another town, team logo's (for goodness sake the logo's in 13 are so OLD)

I'd like face scans for all the players in the NHL at least. Every other sports game has it. Improved AI, specifically in the neutral zone. No more up and down all game long. Some variety in goals. The cross crease one-timer was way OP an all modes. Couple additions to GM mode. Lastly, stars playing like stars. Grinders grinding. And teams playing more specific to their real life systems.....

Anyone watched the NYR vs Tampa? That's the playoff games for you EA....I expect no less. If you cant give it, then change your logo...if its in the game its not in EA!

As long as it's a full game, I'm sure most of us will be happy. How NHL 15 is suppose to be a progression from NHL 14 is beyond me. GM Mode needs massive improvements, Be A Pro needs to be completely revamped for PS4/Xbone.

Well, NHL15 was like a book where they only got time to make the cover but all the pages were blank.

Hoping too for a revamped BaP, for example Im dreaming to start in an european league before draft to NHL since Im an european, but think I will have to keep on dreaming about that.
Also better player creation not only for BaP since it stretches over many modes, so that might be added atleast and hoping they bring back Create a team aswell.
Im wishing they brought back all modes improved this year, but aint too optimistic about that.

Wishful thinking: NHL15 failed so hard I think they will have to at minimum reintroduce all previous modes to make up for last year. If it on the other hand had been an ok game I think they would only have introduced a couple of news this time, so in the long run it actually might have been a good thing it was so bad and lacking because now they have to up their game to keep this series running.

- BaGM for all leagues.
- Better presentation.
- out of town highlights
- of course, much, much better player and team separation.

-Goalies goalies goalies MUST be revamped like they did to the goalies in NHL 07. It's time and has been time to make each goalie unique.
-Doc MUST have his excitement in the game and not be so dull at times. It was his first year, time to improve it drastically...especially in the playoffs. Make him sound like he does in real life.
-Player differentiation is a must as well and defensive improvements....
-Custom music so the goal horns can all be accurate(but this is a Sony thing I believe, not sure it can be done on Xboxone?)

The list goes on and on...
