EA SPORTS Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR sounds better than any golf game before it, thanks to all-new commentary from Frank Nobilo and Rich Lerner of Golf Channel. Frank and Rich will bring both playful banter and historical references to the broadcast booth, just like fans hear on tour.

Outdoor environments are Frostbite 3’s specialty, making it the perfect fit for golf. The power of the engine allows us to include the little things to create denser environments. From pinecones to butterflies – the game feels more alive than ever before. Thanks to Frostbite 3, the traditional (and infamous) 30-seconds-per-hole load times are gone, and entire courses now load at once. Trade-in time saved (est. 10–15 minutes per 18-hole round) to cut full rounds in half.

Wolf Creek and TPC Sawgrass have been revealed, with more courses expected to be shown in the near future. The team also plans to release the entire roster in the coming weeks as well.

EA has a bad track record with a games 1st cycle on a new system. Madden, Live, and NHL. I'm sooo hoping it won't be the same with this game as I've always liked their golf games. Keeping fingers crossed!

Personally I like Jordan Spieth Tour Golf better! Or Bubba Tour Golf!
Well that's not completely true. Madden and fifa made a nice transition. Prior gen NHL was the only one that was great the other games were awful. Tiger woods 06 was pretty meh on the 360 so that means PGA should be a solid out this time around by the way history shows

I'm happy to have real courses to play on. Wish the golf club had some.

I'm going to pre order to get the free course....what's the risk really....If it stinks it's 50 bucks....not like it's a major purchase here...It's slightly more than a tank of gas....the way some people carry on you would think they charge 10 grand for it.

Agree with the majority here on most counts:

- Why not just "PGA Tour 15" with a rotating cover athlete for subsequent years?
- G&*&^%$!!! "Follow-Cam", still? Why???
- Still has that - I can't describe it - but dark pastel color palette that I hate (but apparently I'm the only one that is bothered by it)
- On first blush, it looks like 360/PS3 game with updated graphics

We'll see, but this series lost me a long time ago and it's gonna take more than nicer graphics to get me back. I remain skeptical.

I must be in the minority here. I actually like the follow cam. After playing the golf club I wish they would use that more. I feel like I'm "guessing" were I'm going to end up rather than actually seeing it mid flight. I'm starting to wonder if those three gameplay styles will be "arcade" "sim" and "broadcast". One can only hope.

I was tired of the Follow Cam by Tiger Woods 2004 on the XBox and PS2! I just don't care for it as it destroys the immersion for me, but I have no problem with it being there for those who like it... I just want to see a reverse angle camera option, like Perfect Golf offers on the PC.

OMG...........a battleship? What has this game become?

EA Sports..........it's in the game.........or is it?

Snap to reverse landing cam 2/3 of the way through ballflight, or blimp tracking cam (like on TV). The former was in the old "PGA Tour" games on PC, the latter I've never seen but seems like it's high time for it to hit games.

Also, you really don't have that much guesswork in real golf where you're going to end up after you hit your shot, right? Fixed behind the golfer cam works fine in most cases.

This or golf club that is the question?

This trailer reminds me when the series first moved to the 360/PS3. I was so excited to get my hands on it, and when I did, its been down hill every since.

I wouldn't go that far has tiger woods 11 was great!

Preach to me brother! Hate follow cam with a passion, how hard can it be to have snap to landing zone cam? You hit the ball, camera stays behind the golfer for a few seconds then snaps to a camera from the target end tracking the incoming ball, it cannot be that hard!!

Not real excited about the game at all. If it ends up being a better sim game and doesn't have the arcade crap in it then maybe I'll give it a try. These days though it's really hard giving EA any $. I know I'll never pay full price for any.

The golf club is absolutely fantastic, was totally worth the 20 or 30 bucks I paid for it on it's release date. But, if you gotta have the pros and real life courses...then you gotta have EA. I personally enjoy just picking up the sticks in the summer and playing a quick 18 on the golf club whenever I feel like it, I don't get super into the be a pro mode in PGA like I do with NBA 2k and The Show.

This game is gonna have to be pretty phenomenal to get me off The Golf Club. You just know that EA will pull their usual BS and charge extra for DLC courses, etc., which infuriates me to no end. $60 is enough for a yearly installment of any game, I refuse to pay an additional $20-30 for content that has been conveniently left out of the game, then made available immediately upon release.

Golf Club gives me limitless courses and an amazing online experience for $35, and they're still adding FREE updates to the game. I could care less about the PGA license honestly.

When I look at the trailer and the screenshots I can't be the only one that says "please don't be cgi" haha.

Why, whatever do you mean?

Very excited! Glad they designated all the fantasy stuff to a thing of its own and wont interfere with the game

while I like having the real courses but the big thing is I always liked the controls in the Tiger woods games and the season modes and such. Dose golf club have similar controllers to tiger games? Do you hit the ball the same way? Is play on the green like it is in tiger games? How dose the game look? Those are the things that I am not sure about if I should get golf club or not. I would love a demo but there is none. I don't play the tiger games that often as I just have so many another games I like to play more often but I did always like the EA golf games a lot.

What are you talking about?

I'm not fan of EA like the next guy but go back through the Tiger games and you'll see how many courses they offered each year. Then in 2014, they offer 20+ in the base game and for those who want more, DLC. It's not like they offered 5 and you had to buy DLC to get the normal amount. You don't have to buy them.

Again, I don't like EA and I actually hate the DLC model the industry is turning to but it's not like they're not offering a good number of courses when there are just as many in there as previous versions of the game that had no DLC (Tiger 05 only had 14 courses).

Why charge for courses at all?
