Also think Giannis deserves a post overall as well. He's absolutely unstoppable going to the hole. And his on-ball defense is very good.
Lol that's what I'm saying, some of the rating changes aren't necessary, Parker went from a 78 to a 74 in a span of 2 weeks. I believe Giannis on-ball defense was adjusted in one of the previous updates but his speed, quickness, lateral quickness, driving layups and ball-handling definitely deserves a bost as well....

Jabari having a good night doesn't change the fact that he should be lowered. The guy is shooting 21% from 3 and barely shooting them. Shooting 24% from 3-10 feet. Fine with lowering the shooting numbers of a guy who hasn't figured out how to do anything except score directly at the rim in the NBA.

Re: The Big Men.

I have to assume that they're not letting him make changes like that to the entire roster without testing what numbers would work properly. For example, if he messes with the tendencies for all the big men and the tendencies are still crappy, that's a big waste of time. Same thing for stamina, what if he tinkers with it and bigs are suddenly too good?

My only guess is that they have to test how the game responds to certain changes. Then he can go ahead and change stuff like that. Right now, he's been doing things that aren't unknowns. Shot ratings, TOs, consistency, etc. Nothing crazy.

Yea but the way he was lowered was pretty drastic, which means a lot of players should be drastically lowered just the same for instance Joakim Noah is averaging 8.2pts per game and 10 boards and he's rated 86 or like Kawhi Leonard who's also rated 86 is averaging 12.8pts 8 boards shooting .23% from 3pt. There are other players at the same positions who are playing far better than both but yet still Kawhi Leonard has been getting increases in his overall and Noah who's just now receiving decreases (-1) off his rating with this recent update. I could understand your logic with tendencies but the rating system isn't being well proportioned throughout the entire roster. Check out Tobias Harris and Jeff Green's rating compared to Kawhi's or Vucevic and T. Chandler's rating compared to Noah's. If we're basing ratings off the year so far, this should speak for it self...

Theres no reason why Parker(74) should have a lower rating than Wiggins(76), yea he's shooting a poor percentage from 3's but he does more on the court and averages better numbers across the board in every category, Parker is well underrated now.

I believe that Bogut should have higher defensive ratings, he is very underrated. I also think that Reggie Jackson deserves to be rated higher overall.

Parker playing one good game in the last 24 hours does not cancel out the 11 prior games he's played this year.

He's had a good week but his first two weeks were simply disgusting, and not in a good way.

First 9 games: 10 PPG, 41 FG%, 25 3PT%, 53 FT%
Last 3 games: 16 PPG, 59 FG%, 0 3PT%, 71 FT%

He'll need more efforts like last night to gain back his ratings.
Bucks are 26th offensively and Jabari's empty production has been a big reason why.

Trust me I understand the decrease in his shooting, I get that, but he's productive in other areas as well. Like I said before the rating system isn't well proportioned through the entire roster. Parker's overall FG% is better than Wiggins as well as rebounding, assist and steals but Wiggins is better than him maybe I'm missing something cause I don't get it. What about the whole Tobias Harris and Jeff Green's rating comparison to Kawhi's or Vucevic and T. Chandler's rating comparison to Noah's. We are basing it off this year so far right? I'm not saying Harris and others should necessarily go up in rating but Noah, Kawhi and a few others should definitely receive decreases such as the ones given to Parker.....

To offer some insight, no, the ratings are not based solely off this year. Especially with the leagues most established. Rookies on the other hand, their initial rating was a projection since they had no NBA games to go off of. The rookie ratings will fluctuate heavily throughout the year as their true value comes to light

Rookie Ratings will fluctuate a lot more than All Stars, Defensive Player of the Years', and Finals MVPs, etc...

I agree with you. Noah and Kawhi need decreases. I never thought Kawhi deserved the ratings he got. MVP or not.

Comparing a rookie to a Finals MVP and a DPOY is crazy.

With a rookie, you should be basing it off the year so far. For vets, you need to use a larger sample size - with more subtle changes for improvements that may last throughout the year.

Overreacting and comparing Harris/Vucevic/Green to guys like Kawhi/Noah is just going to lead to crazy fluctuations throughout the year. That's not how the ratings should work. KL and Noah are on different levels from those guys - especially defensively.

I get the whole rookie thing but honestly, Kawhi & Noah are overrated on 2K period. I'm not really tripping on the overalls to much though. I'm talking about increases in areas where players are excelling and decreases in areas where players are struggling. Just how @Rashidi pointed out Parker's poor shooting, what about the other players? Kawhi is shooting 23% from 3's but yet his moving 3 is 78 and his standing 3 is 81 but Tobias Harris is shooting 44% from 3's, FG48% averaging 19pts 8 boards but yet his 3's are only 70 moving and 67 standing, something is wrong with that if you ask me. All I'm saying is if that's how ratings are being done, please look at each team especially for the ppl who play online...

Lol calm down I'm not saying those players are as good, all I'm saying is the same way others on 2K received decreases or increases in certain areas, other players should the same way as well. BTW Just because someone is a finals MVP or Defensive player of the year doesn't necessarily mean their STARS. Kawhi has never even averaged over 13pts in his career yet. Yea he's a good defender and had a lot of good moments in the playoffs but you guys are acting like he was averaging 20 and 10 the guy only averaged 14pts 7 boards throughout the entire 2014 playoffs. Rudy Gay is still an 83 on 2k btw who's a solid defender and rebounder plus he's averaged 19-20 points for the past 8 seasons, he's pretty ESTABLISHED I would think. As far as Noah goes I'm really not tripping to much on him, I guess since he's ESTABLISHED or what not. Besides his inability to score he's does a little bit of everything plus his defense makes a difference. Theirs only a hand full of good quality centers in the league so I guess when compared to other centers he would stand out but as of late he definitely isn't playing like an 86 overall....

Doubt that will happen, those aren't tied to rosters. Only a handful of guys will even get used long-term anyway once people crack a few more Onyx players.
