Some of the details are available in the image above, but much more information about the patch can be seen here, at the EA Forums. Below are just a few of the details.
  • Stamina Burn: A new “Stamina Burn” system has now been implemented to help counter consecutive single-type strike combos.
  • Stamina Regeneration: A pause has been added to stamina regeneration for the attacking fighter if their takedown is successfully denied.
  • Gegard Mousasi in Middleweight Division: Gegard Mousasi is now also available for play in EA SPORTS UFC’s Middleweight division.

A great example of how to support a game. And from EA of all people.....

Seems like the general consensus is positive on the EA forums. Nerfed alot of the spam online. I still won't attempt to play online for a long time but I'm glad to hear they're doing what they can to eliminate cheese. Even though you'll never really get rid of all spam.

I've watched several twitch feeds and have noticed how slow a fighter's strikes get when stamina starts dropping. That's a big positive.

The jab looks very strong. It seems like it will be a great compliment to the new stamina.

So a pretty stupid and somewhat funny thing happened to me.
I was checking the new PS4 features after the 2.0 update, clicked on the 'check for update' option and it started downloading update for EA UFC. Searched google if there was any new update for UFC and couldn't find any. So, was kinda angry that the new ps4 update made me redownload 1GB of data.
Now, here I find out that there is actually a new update.

EA is doing great things with this game. If I knew they'd be this proactive with patching NBA Live, I'd buy it. It's kinda like dating a fat chick. She may be rough around the edges, but she'll work harder to make you happy.

This. I love the jab now. I was using Chiesa who has a big reach and I was punishing Jim Miller with the jab.

Blocks and parries still seem to eat too much satmina to be uses effectively against hyper aggression. the leg kick is still the best counter to it, which is still kinda disappointing. Even though I knew going in still very disappointed that spamming get up can gain you energy outside of full mount. If I am content to rain ground and pound in half guard why am I forced to move to mount, or be forced to a stamina disadvantage. Just not a fan of how spammer friendly the previous patch made the game, and I just don't feel this patch did enough to curtail that.

I just hope they stick to a two year cycle. I wish every sports game would for that matter.

If only EA (Tiburon) would give Madden gamers the same support! Time for EA to switch developers!

Did they add a new head snap back animation off of the jab or is it just more frequent? That is by far my favorite thing.

I think the key with strikes and their relation to stamina is to throw wisely and don't miss. I purposefully just threw 173/345 punches to my opponent's 68/177 and my stamina was low but much higher than his.

You get rewarded for throwing combinations and penalized for redundant missed strikes.

I agree, what a great job ea has done patching this game and continuously adding fighters each month. Seems each month I have to start over my career.

SO happy that they finally added Mousasi to middleweight!

I have never experienced a dev team that cares this much about any game. Its pretty remarkable and really refreshing.

For me, because I only play offline (online is too frustrating), if they stopped doing patches and stuck to just adding new fighters, I would be more than pleased. More fighters is definitely the biggest thing I care about.

I have a feeling that with exception of a new offline mode, the game we are currently playing is the one we will have until 2016.

Around release I said I would be happy if they released 10 extra fighters and we are at 11 right now with Romero and Eye still scheduled to be released. Great job by EA.

Fingers crossed that this is the case.

Only changes we'll be making to gameplay from this point forward are major bug and exploit fixes.

If this patch holds up, hopefully we (gameplay) can walk away with a smile on our faces and focus 100% of our attention on UFC 2.

Without saying too much (because I know you can't), can you confirm that this won't be the last round of DLC fighters? I remember someone saying that Jessica Eye was confirmed to be added at some point so I guess the longer she isn't added, the more fighters additions we will receive

@GameplayDevUFC -

I just want to send a 'thank you' to you & the dev team! I'm sold and actually am on my way to pick up my same day pickup of UFC at Walmart! And the best thing is...its only $29.99! This is a steal! The attention to community feedback is outstanding and should be used as a model for other companies to follow or internally at EA (lookin' at you Madden team - LOL!)...

Job well done sir!

There will be more content updates. I think both Brian and Jazz have mentioned this in various places so I feel comfortable answering you, otherwise I wouldn't have

Make sure you order online for pick up. In store they have priced at 39.99 and wouldn't price match the website. This happened to me on Monday. Went to target instead (59.99 there) but they price matched at 29.99.

Thanks!

Yeah, $30 is a great deal. You're only $10 more than the EA employee discounted price
