The Heat being the CPU

Here's the alleyoop from earlier that I was talking about. Very seamless.

I've seen some great GREAT sequences today.

Just had a NICE swat at the rim with Drummond where he hit his hand on the rim after getting the swat.

Also, got the nice bounce on this shot with KCP

Well, i keep coming back to live. I think when i watch tv, the sound and the graphics of live looks more like the real baskettball. The other game looks more like cartoon to me. I love live atmosphere and especially ball/ rim physics and sound.
I'm almost ready to jump in this game, despiste it wasn't in my plans. But i really want to known some things, please anyone who can help i appreciate.
First, as a Bulls fan, i can't stand Taj Gibson face. Also the rookies McDermott and Mirotic. Really bad faces. Any word if EA will update more gamefaces to the game?
Second, how the roster updates and sinergy are going? Is it working?
Third, is this trial version exacly like the full version? What's the differences/improvments if any?
Well, i really appreciate any help, as a lifelong live and EA sports fan, i really want this game to succeed, and they're almost there, but really needs some improvments. With that said, i like a lot of things, that's always makes me come back.
WTF,please don't ignore me my friend

Yes there will be several player updates throughout the season. I know McDermott was scanned, I think I saw a picture of him. The others, I can't say for sure, but I'd assume they'd get them in
Second, how the roster updates and sinergy are going? Is it working?

For this one, just check the impressions thread here. I think everyone is very pleased with how the game is evolving daily in the gameplay department. If Not daily, then at least weekly. Synergy (or something) at work.

The demo doesn't have the In Game update, I'm not sure about the day one patch. The In Game Updates help the flow of the game, I'm seeing new animations, different ball/rim interactions, just a lot better flow to the game.

So idk what happened but a total shift of power has happened over the last few games.

I was destroying teams early on in my Mavs franchise but now teams are shooting lights out and I'm in a shootout every game. They shoot the three ball lights out, I'll even contest the shot and it still goes in.

L 88-77 vs the Sixers (Just a bad game offensively)
L 88-87 vs the Timberwolves (JR Smith missed a game winning shot)
W 97-94 over the Hornets (Dirk hits a game winning three with 0.1 left)
W 95-92 over the Wizards (Jameer Nelson sanked two free throws late to win)

We need a tips thread stickied.

Here is mine, still experimenting with it though.

When you are on D and the ball is in the air (a cpu shot has been taken) press B to double team. What this seems to do is make more than 1 or if you are lucky, 2 players go for the rebound.

Its like your players try to double team the ball during its flight so you almost "awaken" your rebounders to follow the ball to the hoop.

Now it gets a bit weird if you have already hit B to double team with the ball on the floor during the cpu O possession. By weird I mean the game seems to ignore the command if you give it again with the ball in the air. Its hit or miss.

I am sure we have all seen how pathetically passive our rebounders are in general. This B button discovery was because after once again suffering giving up a rebound because my 85+ ovr players in lut stand there passively watching the cpu grab a rebound, no boxing out, no fighting for positioning, often not even jumping...well, i just started hitting every button in frustration, then I noticed B made a player on my team hustle to the basket and made another player actually jump without me manually doing it.

So there, try it out. Lets hope it works more than just the second half in my last game.

- The actual game version is different from the demo, as there was a separate game update when you launch the actual game. It's not as easy to score as it was in the demo even though it is relatively for me to score on Superstar in the real game.

If your a Dynasty Mode player though this mode is not deep, but gameplay wise it can be fun. But the physics in the paint needs ALOTTA work collision wise.
Thank you, yeah i'm a big dinasty guy. Play mostly against the cpu.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and I don't get back to you. I didn't see your earlier comment. I try to at least respond to everyone who comments toward me directly.

Enjoy the game.

EA has added in face scans.

And yes, the magic synergy/game update box in the left bottom corner is always up to something...who knows what but yeah. The game seems to be improving each time you turn it on.

The physics in the paint just need to accept that height and weight and positioning do really matter. Then it would work.

Maybe somebody can find a video on youtube of trey burke forearm pushing roy hibbert backwards 6 feet and then performing a basic layup IRL and we could all watch it and enjoy it and then agree that was a one time thing and wont ever happen again.

So why does it happen 7 times a game in Live?

Honestly, I can forgive a lot with this game but that smaller player on an animation path of destiny that I cant interrupt is pure garbage.

They ened to completely re-scan Quinn Snyder's face.

A few times I've seen guys go down that I knew was a knee injury or something, but then remember no injuries.

I recorded a game that somebody had 7 fouls. First time I'd seen that glitch. Noticed it after the game was over, went to see why he didn't play much, and saw 7 fouls

Thanks WTF for answering our questions. I'm a big dynasty mode player in whatever sports games I may be playing. This season I'll probably be playing mostly "the other basketball game", but I'm not ready to give up on NBA Live going forward. I like the direction they're taking and I'm confident they're about a year away from putting together a fun dynasty mode! EA excels in atmosphere in their sports games, which is what keeps me coming back. Their detailed arenas are second to none!

More of a suggestion, but things like this would make the game a lot smoother. Here, Cody Zeller is late getting back and due to Lance driving to the basket, his man is engaged in helping...here Cody has a clear lane to cut to the basket and Lance spots him...he starts to cut and then suddenly cuts off his drive allowing his man to get back in front of him...

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00006669704684

this happens quite a bit on cuts to basket it seems...is there something I'm doing wrong? Maybe there's a way to lead pass I'm not familiar with? I iconed passed and pointed the stick toward the basket here..

Each time I play this game I feel like it is improving. The field goal percentage at the rim appears to be decreasing. I have seen more missed layups today than all the games previously played combined

I've tried to give this game a fair shot , but way to much is wrong ( animations suck, half time report is gone, no injuries, no out of bounds) smh Guess I'm without a basketball ball this year

Nahh. I'm having a blast. Put 30 hours in since launch. Certainly not bored

Same here, I remember not even putting 5 hours into 'the other game' last year. But this year, I can't get enough of Live 15. I just started my Rising Star last night after wrenching myself away from Ultimate Team, and I'm torn as to what to play at this point. Haven't even touched Dynasty yet but I'm looking forward to it. Been having GREAT games as of late, and actually feeling that if I lose, it's because of poor choices, not because I'm getting cheated out of it.

I'm not going to lie, I was frustrated when I first started playing, but with the updates (and Tomba's fantastic settings), I just can't stop playing it. Now of course I want them to fix the Halftime show and it would be nice to see them put a ton of new jerseys into the next major update. But the amount of improvement from day one to now has been nothing short of astounding.

I disagree with this one. I don't play with the computer much, but I only seem to get steaks when someone puts the ball right in front of me. Besides that I don't get many steaks at all. I like how when dribblers aren't careful you can steal the ball.

On the.... other game.... It's so random. You press x and steal animations come at random. I find that the easy steals might need to be tweaked but people who don't guard the ball while dribbling need to pay for it.

I think many times even in the real NBA some drives are unstoppable. If you give someone the free space nothing can stop them. So I don't think Live needs to get rid of the animations that are "unstoppable".

I think they need to refine it.

My issues so far are:

1: Horrible animations for rebounding, all post moves.
2: Very few signature shots.
3: No mid range game. It's a lot harder to get open mid range jumpers.
4: I love how Live rewards shot timing. If it's a great release you make like 70%. You might make 35% on slightly early shots, and you might make ight 10% on the rest. It averages out well. But shot timing seems inconsistent. The same player could have different shot timing from my experience. One possession I can hold a little longer, the next I have to let go immediately. That needs adjusting.
5: late game a.i. not from experience, just what I read.
6: Too many unstoppable cheese animations
7: Rudy Gays face

Things I love:

1: I love the defensive responsiveness. Steals and blocks matter (unless there is an unstoppable animation)

2: Dribbling is great. Especially dribbling up the court

3: Game speed is great. People should get penalized more for playing way too quick.. But players play quick but you can also slow down.

4: Great crowd reactions. They actually clap and react.

5: I love the commentary. I play with the same team. So even though the other game has better commentary I love the fresh voices, and I love when they go silent. Because the crowd is great.

6: Game doesn't play boring. Guessing it's the crowd that makes it exciting.

7: Post game wrap up: awesome. Highlights my second chance points when it's clearly what won me the game. It's really accurate. Love how it really gives good insight into what actually happened.

I love the game. If they patch in major animations, and fix bugs this game can really compete
