EA Sports is planning to do a gameplay live stream of NBA Live 15 tonight on Twitch. An official time has not been announced yet, but it's likely the EA Sports NBA Twitter account will be where the announcement is made.

UPDATE: Looks like they are almost ready to start, tune in here or watch the embedded stream above, as it starts. Once the archive is available, we will update this post with a link to it.

UPDATE #2: If you missed the stream, you can watch the archive here.

Are you looking forward to our first look at NBA Live 15 gameplay?

Are timeouts called by the cpu this year?

Yet to see one in a video.

Surely they didn't leave no times outs and end game AI bugs IN ....surely not.

Can someone who has it please post a video of the cpu calling a time out in the first 1/4 or after a big run...and also a video of the cpu executing correctly down the stretch.

Watched the stream saw improvement not enough for $60 purchase though. Will try the demo though. I don't know what direction EA is going but if I had my guess it is trying to be somewhere between a sim game and pick up and play.

  • Whose idea was it to turn automotion off by default? NBA teams don't play like that. It makes the offense look very, very stagnant basically bad possessions in real basketball iso basketball. It actually makes the game look like a pick up game at a gym maybe that is what they are going for though. No plays ran by guys who actually make the game jeez? Is this done on purpose.
  • The game looks to be an iso fest but maybe a higher difficulty fixes some of this.
  • When motion is on what does the CPU teammates do? Are they playing to a set offense or just moving around setting picks? Are they team specific automotion movement?

I can understand why they hid Live 14 the way they did, as I didn't find much to like about it. But why hide this? From what I've seen (NotYourAverageFlight youtube guy, the other guy showing off Rising Star, and now this), it not only appears playable, but looks good to me. Yes, still some bad animations from previous years, and we already know about the lack of editing options. But this looked good on the court IMO.

Now, the lack of defense, and animation counters to ballhandler moves out on the perimeter is a worry. But, as I think WTF said, we have to see at the highest difficulty between guys with real stick skills.

Pleasantly surprised, and will definitely be checking out the demo. Hopefully the reason they were hiding it isn't some game-breaking bug or or glaring issue yet to be uncovered.

BTW their LeBron is SPOT ON.

I seen a cpu initiated timeout on twitch!

this looked really good imo

The game looks mediocre, IMO. Scoring inside is way too easy and this game lacks the ability to play defense in the paint. It's better than Live 14 for sure, but still has a very long way to go.

I will most definitely give this a try. A legitimate one too. Only fools rush to judgement based off a glimpse of the game. But from I seen, this is going to be tough to decide between 2K and Live.
I purposely did not buy 2K on launch night as I did for the last 6 or 7 titles in hopes that I could have the option of picking between to good basketball games. And NBA Live looks as if they just put there self back in the argument.

Good job EA.

Watching the streams I came away a bit impressed with how much better than 14 this game looks but I need that demo on Tues to make a real judgement. I almost forgot about how live the crowd is in Live is. That has always added additional sensory pleasure when playing the games. Might preorder before preoders close then let the demo help make my decision to purchase or not

There is no Q&A for the impression thread so I guess I will ask here. I see people saying the game is smooth animation wise and some say it is not. I guess what specifically is giving people the opposite impression?

If I had to judge by video, I'd say from what I saw, it looks too easy to score and I saw some pretty cray cray circus shots at time penetrating the basket. Be nice to see what kind of defensive adjustments we can do to keep the paint from getting so easily penetrated. Although could just be poor defense.

It's really in how you control your player. You can make him pull off some spastic stuff... Or you can make it really smooth. If you play a hectic game, you'll see some rough things. If you play a methodical game, it'll look better.

WTF, did you get to visit their studio and play the game early? I'm loving what I'm seeing so far.

Yeah but on top.of that, some of the hectic stuff flows, depending on the situation.

It seemed the more skilled players can pull wonky shoots off, but if it goes in plus a foul shoot, it's a beautiful thing lol

if that's the case, maybe change the game speed? Can you lower it? I always like to play a slower game. I do the same thing for Madden.

There are some points where you can distinctly see two animations blending...like one stop and other start up....

At times the blend perfectly though....so it can be hit or miss..

Definitely liking what I saw and see from all the videos popping up on the net regarding live 15. I downloaded Live 15 from EA Access and will give it a try when I get home from work tonite. But so far, im liking what im seeing and hearing.

I just want a game that is fun to play and not such a chore. Hoping this game will be it.

I'm going to try it out on EA Access after work a lot of it looks good. I think the character models look good except for the upper bodies look off to me. It's like they don't have a chest. I don't know I'll give it a try Now that I look at it closer maybe the jerseys being loose is what makes it look that way.

Put back dunks look really good dribbling has always been pretty good on Live I look forward to giving it a try.
