This is what I find a little backwards. They released a list of DLC characters before even releasing the full actual roster.

We need an nWo pack

The lack of the full roster is so weird. I mean 2K is notorious for not releasing info until a couple weeks before the game launches but this takes the cake.

The way stupid add-ons like this are announced well before the games released only gets me to thinking these are already in the game, none of these seem like legit extras, all of these should be part of the game. This is basically an incomplete $60 game that cost $100 complete.

How is it an incomplete game?

These are extras, not necessities. Nothing in these DLC packs are going to stop the game from working.

Oh no, Paige and the Ascension are DLC. The game is ruined!

Well if this is the full roster I hope they added a bunch more names that we can use in cc so that their actual names are being said during game play not a generic one it just takes the realism away

Paige being DLC is pretty cheap though given the fact she was champion in April.

However I'm liking the sound of the rest of the DLC - getting Regal and Finlay is an unexpected bonus.

that is weird that dlc is announced before the rest of the roster especially with the 360 and ps3 versions coming out in a week

Don't you think it's possible that this is the roster? I know people point to that character selection screen as if it's 100% accurate, but we go through that song and dance every year.

I find it hard to believe Bret Hart wouldn't be in the game (I think he's been in every game since he reconciled with the company?), so maybe there are a few of those types of legends...but another 40 or so guys still to be announced? I don't see it.

I think 2K actually came out and said that the Summerslam was only half the roster.

If you have a link to 2K saying that, I'd love to see it. All I remember is them promoting the reveal on IGN. After only releasing 40-something names, they came out with the "More in the coming weeks!" types of statements. Since then we've received news of several NXT wrestlers and now the list of DLC, which brings the total into the ballpark of what recent games have had. Do we even know if they're still splitting potential Retro wrestlers as their own characters? That would also count into the final total.

People seem to be running with the "it's only half of the roster" thing after a video from one of these conferences showed the character select screen showing 90-something characters, not considering that this may have been placeholder design that was used purely for these conferences.

That being said, 2K might have specifically said it was half and I totally missed the news.

Are you guys really gonna pay $44 for DLC of a yearly sports gaming series. We can buy another game by just adding $16 more. I know WWE is in rough shape because of the network but this is too much.

No, I'm paying $35, which is the industry standard for DLC. Not too happy about paying $15 more, but it is what it is.

They are offering a lot of DLC though really. Over a dozen wrestlers, 30 moves, and three entire story modes.

It's pretty much worth it when all said and done. Especially if the game turns into a classic which truly has a year's lifespan.

No because I have no problem using CAWs and while the Showcase thing or whatever sounds cool, I'm fine with what's in the game without DLC.

Nope. I'm paying the $80 for the Digital Deluxe version. Since I also bought NBA2K on PSN I spent over $100 and qualify for the $15 back PSN October promotion. I'll use that toward the remaining DLC.

...so whatever that works out to, I'm paying. It's not $44 in my case.

Did you get your $15 back yet? I'm still waiting on mine.

I'm still trying to figure this whole thing out. Seems weird that you don't get everything this game offers with the season pass.

Nah, PS Blog said on or by Nov 7.

I've never actually purchased enough in one of their "get cash back" promo things, so I don't know if they tend to go out on time or not.

I think they just figured a $20/$25 season pass is easier to market than a $35/$40 one. At least they're being upfront about what it includes and what it doesn't, but it is weird to have a pass specifically for the additions to one mode, and not just an all-inclusive one.

This is what is more important to me, but I'm surprised Paige is DLC. I'm really just a Universe mode guy, though this year I definitely will log some hours on MyCareer. I definitley see myself using Regal, DDP, JBL and the Ascension in my Universe.

I just hate the fact that we know all of the DLC details but still don't know the final roster. Doesn't the game launch for previous gen systems in like 2 weeks? What the hell is the holdup?
