Wait a minute. So I won't be able to play with Paige, Edge, JBL or Emma if I buy the regular copy?

It appears that those who buy a season pass will also get a discount with the WCW/NXT/Moves pack (speculation $10-$15 for all 3)

That said, this makes the Hulkamania edition look like a total ripoff.

Most likely old arenas, championships, attires etc.

Warrior pack is worth it alone for Heenan as a manager. Disappointed in the choice of the One More Match and Hall Of Pain additions would of much rather preferred something from 1998-2000

Pretty much all the stuff that you would unlock in 2K Showcase so Legends,Arenas and stuff of that sort. Perhaps any unlockables they might of put into stuff you complete in Universe or MyCareer.

I'm confused by the superstars available. Aren't a lot of them already in the game? And why is there two Smackdown 2011s in there? Also is Sid a manager or playable character?

It looks like that the discounted price to get everything is $90-95 if you go with the Digital Deluxe Edition. Roughly $10 more than last year, but I'll take it.

Sid is the guest referee for the SummerSlam 91 match Hogan/Warrior vs Slaughter/Adnan/Mustafa.

And apparently these showcases will include alternate attires.

Also, it remains to be seen if the undertaker/Warrior match in MSG will be a Casket Match, a regular match or a body bag match (highly unlikely.)

Of all those things, I'm really only interested in the NXT pack. So does that mean there'll be absolutely no way for me to get Paige unless I pay the $25 for season pass?! Real cheap/pathetic if true.

Yes. And no, it isn't cheap at all since a majority of people will be buying the season pas or the Digital Deluxe edition as it is.

What is cheap is paying an additional $10-$15 for the extra packs on top of paying for Season Pass.

That's... a ton of DLC for a wrestling video game. Wow.

# 34 Majingir @ 10/14/14 01:08 PM
And unless people pre-order, there's no way of getting Sting or Hogan either?!

Yes. However, only way you can get Hogan's nWo or WWF return characters is to buy the Hulkamania edition or the Digital Deluxe edition.

# 36 Majingir @ 10/14/14 01:21 PM
I hope they do add Hogan to the DLCs later on. Sting I'm sure there might be some cases where people who don't even pre-order end up getting the code still, but Hogan is one where you can't run into that luck.

On one hand, I'm amazed that a company is putting this much effort towards DLC for a wrestling game.

On the other, I don't like the precedent being set that the season pass doesn't get you all DLC, as would typically be the case.

Someone said above that DLC should have been $35 for everything, and if you go with the Digital Deluxe Edition, all DLC will be $35 at max, $15 more than last year but it also includes more.

If you buy the standard edition, you will not get nWo Hogan or 2002 Hogan and you will be paying $40 for all other content.

It's very clear that 2K is trying to push digital by including a $5 discount (not to mention that many people will not have to pay taxes on the game or DLC if purchased from PSN) and both Hogans from the Hulkamania edition,

I get that, and I'm going Digital Deluxe. Like I said, my concern is 2K setting the precedent of paid-DLC on top of the traditional Season Pass. I'll end up getting them because I'll take more characters, but (perhaps selfishly) I'm hoping for some sort of discount on these extra packs for Season Pass buyers.

On another note - happy to see Madison Square Garden specifically listed. I was hoping 2K could leverage some of their existing relationships with arenas from NBA and negotiate them for use in WWE.

# 40 Cowboy008 @ 10/14/14 03:19 PM
So if we buy the season pass we still aren't getting all the DLC like we used to and will have to pay for things that should be included in the season pass.
