2k and Live both sold well in the past. Both games can co-exist. Im also a 2k fan boy and even I admit that this Live hands on looks promising.
I probably wont get it, unless it does something significantly better than 2k.. will it have in game saves, nd is there a shot stick.
Live has always had better representation of arena atmosphere better than 2k. so I cant get excited about that alone. Im intrigued about the commentary not being too repetitive, but like they said this was only quick games.

For the most part most of the players look spot on, a few could use some polishing. I say the same about the other game as well. I do feel that Live 15 graphics wise is a next gen accomplishment. Don't think we could see this on ps3 or xbox 360. Either game for that matter. Both games use different scanning and lighting techniques which gives each one a different unique style. Both styles look good and are next gen. Couldn't say the same about Live last year.

This may sound funny, but the shoes actually caught my attention. Those VII's popped out at me.

I may be crazy, and perhaps it's because it was in super slow motion, but I swear Russell Westbrook dragged his pivot foot a mile on that jab step from the top of the key.

I'm also not sure about the dribbling animation. It looks a little 1950's-ish when players are dribbling down the floor (i.e. not when they're executing moves).

That said, at least from those isolated clips, it appears Live is beginning to show signs of being at least a semi-legit NBA basketball game. I feel like they're going to need multiple years before they're really able to put something real deal together (if they play their cards right) but I'm just hoping they're continuing on that right path. I suppose true gameplay footage may assist in that judgment.

Are you referring to the Wiggins clip? In truth, grabbing the rim with the off-hand first is actually illegal. I'll meet EA halfway and say it looked like he was about to grab it with his off-hand a lot earlier than he actually did (it was almost simultaneous in the end) but you're absolutely right - it's illegal if it touches first and it's not a type of jam that occurs in the NBA.

The thing is that Lillard did the same dunk in the video.

I actually think the game looks pretty good, after seeing this video on a better screen. I thought the Carter-Williams clips looked especially good. The player models look far better than 2k, and I was pleasantly surprised at how fluidly the guys moved around. Obviously there are several key factors yet to be seen, namely the AI of the CPU players, but I was quite encouraged from what I saw, as well as what the guys were saying about their experience with the game. Is there definitely a demo coming, presumably on the 14th?

As much as I like Damian Lillard, he is not a high flying dunker. He is no Westbrooke or D Rose. Not saying he cant dunk but he shouldnt be flying over Centers(McGee) or any crowd of defenders.

And Leonard is way to happy in that video(jk). Very unrealistic.

No clipping though. What if this is actually true. Would be a nice base for next year in Live 16. Just dont go the Elite route.
Ummmmm.......

You'd think it would be two weeks before launch

I'm holding out hope for this year's game. After witnessing the horrible CPU comeback coding in the other game, yet again, it may be time to move on. Only problem is I need something to move on to.
