Madden NFL 15 News Post

Picking up a rebuilding project in any kind of sports video game is a daunting task. You have to be resigned to the fact that you're going to lose more than you win and that reaching the playoffs is more of a pipe-dream than a reality. But the reward is unlike anything else, in Madden. Slowly building your team back to prominence takes a skill unlike any other. You have to be persistent, smart, and methodical.

The real question is, where do you even begin? Here are five of the biggest rebuilding projects in Madden, and what you can do to fix them...

Has anyone done anything drastic with a team? Cut Manning or Brady, trade or cut Dez, get ride of Peterson? I'm just interested in what some people have done to maybe take a team that doesn't really need to be rebuilt but trade/cut players that don't fit your method and bring in new players (or cheaper players) in

With Denver I traded away Peyton, and Demarcus Ware for Jadaveon Clowney. Then to fill the QB position, I traded the Cardinals a low draft pick for Logan Thomas...

Clowney is a Beast and Logan Tomas is 90 OVR after one season!

I started a franchise last night with the Panthers. I am going to do a complete rebuild on offense. I started by trading Cam for draft picks when I then used to trade for Jimmy Garoppollo of the Patriots. I am going to cut or trade Deangelo Williams in the offseason depending on what I can get. I'll keep Stewart but draft a young RB.

Outside of a great QB and star possession WR, the Rams have all the pieces. Their defensive line is dirty, Aaron Donald was one of my biggest pet cats in the draft as a Cowboys fan. The more people started talking about the guy the more I knew he wasn't going to drop. The dude is explosive at DT.

Im thinking about doing an online raiders franchise and trying to build them up. As for the name of the owner, Bo Jackson?

The rams defianately arent a rebuilding team. Nor the vikings, too many solid players. The Jags need so much help... the raiders cant stop anyone, the steelers need a rebuild, the giants are about to be in big trouble also.

Does antone know how to keep yoyr recievers confident? My recievers always lose confidense ss6ing they could have done more. But they will have 7 catches....

I disagree about the Vikings, they are abysmal. I made Peterson a punter and cut him just because, and I cut Cassel. The OL has like 1 real starter and the D is Swiss cheese. The one bright spot is Paterson but he can't do it all. Bridgewater starts out really shaky and get hurt often, if you can keep him health he improves pretty quick. A solid rebuild project from my perspective, probably not as tough as the Raiders or Jags though.

Bills are not a rebuild at all IMO, I had a offline CFM with them and their D is very good. Manuel is solid, the WRs and TE are underrated, and Spiller and Jackson are an excellent 1 2 punch, plus they are pretty young. They can be dominant with just a little help.

I'd like to try the Raiders but I don't want to move them, I'm Old School, they belong in Oakland! It could be done in Coach Mode I'm sure but might be impossible in Owner Mode without moving them.

The G-men...

I'm in year 2 of my Jags rebuild, I sat Bortles first 12 games of year 1 and started him the rest of the year. In the draft I grabbed a VERY good CB FS, center and a solid RT. Signed Jahri Evens too. I cant believe how good my rookies are, I didn't look at any draft help online, I based every pick on my scouting.

Year 2 I'm struggling as Bortles went out for the year week 4 and the next week Henne went down until week 16. So Tebow is starting and we are 4-9

Yes, this is ridiculous that I cannot play an offline season with a friend on my team.

I went 9-7 with NYG in year one, currently 4-4 in year two. Manning drops down to a 78. He keeps getting injured which is just counter to reality. QBS are the only ones who get injured. Injuries are part of the game for sure but they should occur across more positions.

I am grappling between going DT QB or LB in the draft. I scouted an ol who has A run block and A pass block, and that might be too hard to pass on. He is a 2nd round projection and I hope it stays that way! It sounds stupid but I would prefer to have Manning or another real nfl player at qb until it's absolutely unavoidable.

NYG is big market and has enough big time guys to be considered a true rebuild. You need stick skills and sensible progression planning (Beckham richburg etc) and you need to be prepared to move on from certain guys who might stick you during free agency (jacquain Williams) or sudden retirees (Cullen Jenkins)

In real life and in the game NYG is not far o

Ive recently started an online CFM as coach of the Raiders with a friend and Im trying to trade Schaub, Woodson and McFadden and no one is interested at all! Which teams are normally interested in these players to trade?

im looking into doing just this,i've always been one to only use my team (tampa bay) and try to build the best team possible and run a dynasty and it gets kinda boring after a while, and the online leagues between week skips taking too long, wanting to have something that i can try to tackle and try something different and im still trying to figure out which franchise i should try to rebuild and as a buccaneers fan idk if i should just try to rebuild my offense around Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans and build my Defense around McCoy & David. or if i should try to Run with another Franchise.... any help guys ?

This would all be fabulous except for that whole, you know, crippling bug where rebuilding small market teams have no money, and can't resign their own players or sign new free agents.

too much of the success of your team is built around confidence.
