NBA 2K15 News Post

Chris "LD2K" Manning and the NBA 2K15 developer team just sent us the full list and description of the NBA 2K15 badges. These badges are exclusive to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Quote:
This year we combined Personality Badges and Signature Skills into one “Badge” list. Badges uniquely identify players in two ways: Personality and Skill. They affect how players react to various emotional situations, as well as how they perform in specific in-game scenarios.

Some good combinations can be made with this list.

I assume they are also there on PC, right?

I like that they split lockdown defender into perimeter and post, and that each dribble move can have its own badge. Interested to see how much each will affect a player's abilities.

I also like the addition of the Limitless Range badge. Hopefully that means guys who catch fire (rarely) can come down and step into threes a la Lebron vs the Bucks.

Damn, thought there was going to be a Rim Protector badge like folks were speculating. I also see they may have removed Post Playmaker which should definitely return for 2K16.

I see a lot of Spur players will be getting hooked up with badges, but I think expanding the list even further next year - more defensive badges - will be awesome.

PS4 and Xbox One exclusive, unless I get confirmation otherwise.

Sure is a lot of badges for offense.....I was hoping to see more from the defensive side of things...

Like a cpu controlled Steph Curry. Every time I play the Warriors in 14 Curry never does anything that mimics Steph.

Badges are on PC as well.

A little concerned about how this translates to MyTeam. I wonder how many badges we'll be able to add to players on our teams.

• On Court Coach - MyCareer specific. A player with this badge can get the ball, call plays and tell teammates to shoot whenever he wants
PRAISE!

"Once you earn the bronze version, you can then purchase with VC the silver and gold versions"
darn, i was hoping you couldnt use vc with this at all

Updated OP, thanks.

The on court coach is the one that bothers me. You should not be able to tell your teammates when to shot. Also calling plays should be for the player running the offense. Other than that all nice touches that add to the full experience.

Agreed at this point everything you get should be determined by an action that's related to whatever it is you are doing in the game. The only thing that should improve either through points or just randomly is physical attributes and this should be very minimal(and almost during the offseason) as guys really don't grow phyiscal much if at all especially during the season.

I realize it's a BAP mode, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have to be realistic. But it appears this isn't the way 2K wants to my forward with MyPlayer.

still feel like LD defender are OP.

Lol...so the easiest tier of the Badges is unlockable via playing the game, but the ones you would actually have to grind to attain are made attainable using VC...

How ****** of you 2K.

Huge letdown to the people hoping the shortcuts were gone, so I'm assuming you can also use VC to get max attributes and the only thing that will take time is the Bronze tier of whatever Skill Badge you want, sigh.

Wonder if bronze tier = average. Silver = good. Gold=Excellent?
Does Lockdown Defender negate the skill badges based on tiers ?

Umm because... Normally it basically stops any offensive sig skill? maybe if someone could like go into detail about lockdown defender and explain how it will work this year or is it like past years..

and also if it counters each offensive badage wouldnt that make it OP? so dont come at me bruh lol. got the wrong 1.
