NBA 2K15 News Post

It looks like 2K Sports has picked up Jon Smith, AKA JaoSming, to work on the NBA 2K series.

Most of you know him for his PC modding work on the series... Sometimes here, but mostly over at NLSC. For those unfamiliar with his work, check out his YouTube channel.

Let's wish him the best of luck.

Never played NBA on PC but damn that looks lovely, colors so bright and everything sharp. I think my PC could handle it as it handles Everquest 2 on High really well.

Love gaming on console so much though...hmm

Congrats Jon! Man, NBA 2K16 has the potential to be the GOAT with all these OS/NLSC guys on the 2K team!

He's going to work on the NBA 2KTV thing. So he will make a big impact I assume.

Hopefully he brings his modding talents to consoles. 2K14 was the first time I played a sports game on consoles and I loved it. I never thought I could have hundreds of players to choose from and some of my favorite jerseys left out of the console versions of the game.

A full cycle with all this OS talent on board is going to be ridiculous.

I hope 2k hire more mod's from NLSC most notably Hawk23. His hard work that he puts in for the universal base roster for PC 2k needs recognition as well.

For licensing purposes alone, the consoles could never entertain half of what the UBR is. I like them being separate. I'm just extremely grateful 2K even releases this game on PC. I thought to myself, maybe us PC gamers brag too much about what we can do. 2K is like "Oh yeah, watch this". I'm just really sad because on the huge year where we get blessed with the new engine, we won't have Jao to educate and break down this game as only he knows how. No one does it better. "Jao come back!!!" (in my whining voice).
