NBA Live 14 News Post

EA Sports has released a roster update for NBA Live 14. It includes the offseason moves, but none of the rookies were included. Based off of first glance, it doesn't appear as though any jersey numbers were updated. LeBron James is still wearing 6 and Kevin Love is wearing 42.

Big player names have been moved to their appropriate teams, even some of the most recent transactions are in.
  • Leandro Barbosa with the Warriors.
  • Shawn Marion with the Cavs.
  • Not seeing Jared Dudley on the Bucks, he's still on the Clippers roster.
  • Kendall Marshall with the Bucks.
  • Cartier Martin with the Pistons.
  • Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw with the Knicks.
  • Mike Miller with the Cavs.
  • Mo Williams with the Wolves.
Thanks to NLSC for the heads up.

Rookie update would be real sick ! Especially if it includes those other fixes

Not that updating the rookies in Live 14 isn't a pretty cool thing to do...but didn't we push 15 back to tighten things up? Just seems like that'd be the main focus right now...

Yeah it would be, but that ain't gonna happen if they did then what would be the point in releasing Live 15? And if they did release a roster update with the rookie's I would be extremely worried about Live 15 coming out...

If you're going to do an update this late in this stage why not get things like jersey numbers right and maybe a couple (generic or not) rookie faces ? Get the new look cavaliers but not the T-wolves .

Exactly they sell you a game that you should be able to play all year, but they keep the rosters out of date every summer and dont allow you to play online with updated rosters. I think its something all sports titles should correct.

Looks like we had an error on Curry. Nice catch. We'll fix it if we decide to get an update with rookies out.

A lot of those ratings were driven straight from Synergy data. Which provided some interesting results. I don't remember exactly but, Dirk was supposed to be like 115 on the scale for mid. obviously, it doesn't go that high.

Rondo posted some better than expected numbers and the data for Rose wasn't strong. Looking at how FIBA went for Rose, it's not a wildly inaccurate number.

Also, the scale for 3pt and mid is different. A 99 3pt could be 50% while a 99 in mid could be a 65%. So, direct comparisons don't work.

Anyways, we'll be changing up the approach for '15.

During the season, I'll be reading feedback and sometimes, actively soliciting it to help get ratings to a better more agreeable place. I can't wait for the season to get here so we could get this started.

I know not everyone will agree on where the numbers will fall but, hopefully, you'll understand.

And even moreso, I hope you'll stay engaged with Live.
I'm finding the player/team tendencies of the A.I are really good is that from synergy ?

. It's just sometimes the A.I is lacking and does things like dribble out the shot clock or walk out of bounds. hoping that's not in 15

Is it me or does this game play WAY better after the update? I haven't played in months but the gameplay feels so much better.
