Just got my retail copy. One thing i can say that I'm very happy about over the demo is the game speed. I like slow, realistic speed. In the demo on slow and sprint slider to 0, the pace was still very frantic and arcade like. Now in the full game on slow with sprint to 0, it plays very well. The players even have more weight to them.

I'm gonna agree with Orion above. If you beat the cpu defender with a speedy player, you're not gonna get caught very easily as in previous years you would get caught with the "catch up bug"

Edit: and the cpu just got a straight red for a nasty tackle from behind.

First of all, I just want to say that this game is much improved over last year.

+GFX
+Presentation
+GK Animations
+Goal Variety

Has anyone noticed if CPU clubs use multiple team sheets in career mode or do they just stick to their default?

I've always thought that injuries are kind of stupid in regular old head to head online matches.

I'm using PSG because I want to play with Zlatan. I don't want him injured in the 30th minute. If I wanted to test PSG's striker depth, I'd start a career mode with them.

To anyone that has the game can you tell me how the presentation is for the FA cup and the championship division?

i think the access code is older then the retail version based on rosters alone, i know a few people that have the retail version and there not seeing the same stuff that i am in the access code which is a good thing. one thing i can say for sure is sliders work this year ive tuned them and gotten some really good results. also noticed that world class is a big step up from last year, right now ive settled on pro but once i get used to the game i will make the jump up but i was getting killed on world class.

Not sure if this was in the game last year... I play what I think is a perfect through ball from Pirlo to Pogba, Pogba scores from right outside the box, we start celebrating and then all of a sudden..... It cuts to the side judge with his flag up!!! I was so dissapointed but happy that it is in the game.

This is exactly what I mean by the CPU being faster. It's not straight line speed it's important speed. By important speed I mean first step to everything. The cpu wins first step 99% of the time.

I think a big culprit is the switching, either auto or manual there is always this slight delay which is just enough for the CPU to get the first step.

It's a gameplay mechanic not cpu cheating. Although we can also discuss the pass high low high pass crap the CPU does if you have auto switching on, I consider that cheating by the CPU because they know they can take advantage of the game auto switching players on you.

But yeah it's either the controller response or it's the auto switching. One of those two just paralyzes your player for just a moment. If you play off the ball the CPU logic controlling your defender is ok but they are still a bit flat footed compared to the CPU jumping on loose balls instantly.

The fact that you have to switch yourself may be a slight, slight disadvantage, but in no way IMO does it affect the outcome of games, and giving yourself a speed advantage because of it is certainly overkill.
Getting back to the game, I feel as if it will play an entertaining game of football once we put our heads together and come up with a strong slider set(I do have a preliminary set that I'm testing now, but again it's with the Access version).
The one problem I fear will not be overcome is the CPU's seemingly incessant need to dribble instead of pass. This is the area where PES wins hands down. The CPU builds up beautifully. My colleagues and I at FSB do have the opportunity to express our feelings to the dev team though, and I promise I will make my feelings known on this issue.

Downloaded the Trial on xbone and dove right into Online Seasons. I really like how they've adjusted the game clock to keep ticking in real time when the ball is not in play (like "one-one thousand, two-one thousand, three-one thousand, etc). Before, the clock would either freeze completely or would keep ticking very fast. I've always thought to myself that they should implement this, and they finally did.

The crowd noise is fantastic this year, as well as the sound in general. I love the music during halftime/postgame, it reminds me of something out of Trials Fusion.

I think the gameplay online can be smoother, as last year it was silky smooth. A few of the replays are choppy, and I've really only played one or two smooth online matches out of the 10 or so that I've played.

The busy transfer market this past summer definitely made for some interesting matchups in this year's FIFA, but be prepared to see a ton of Man U and Real Madrid (again...) online. In all honesty, it's actually a relief when I play Barca online these days. Oh well, apparently none of them can stop Tottenham.

Great game so far, typical FIFA stuff. FIFA 14 is really the only game I've liked in the new generation (played Destiny, BF4, Watch Dogs, among others), and FIFA 15 will probably keep that going... along with PES 15 of course.

You can really tell that the EA Sports FIFA devs put a lot of time and love into this product year after year, and it's obvious. The fact that they have to cater to the entire world really puts them on the spot and they definitely deliver. If only...nevermind.

What camera does everyone use? I'm trying tele broadcast zoomed in but I think default dynamic is the best so far.

I use the End-to-End camera (or whatever it's called) all the way zoomed out, similar to the camera in Madden. It helps me keep possession better and gives a better view of the entire field. It's almost too easy online

although I didn't play as my club mates haven't gotten back from work, hoping that it doesn't default my player back to normal height socks when I first join an actual match.

also randomly happened to have loaded my longsleeve undershirt as well, don't mind having that but once I unlock regular long sleeves I'll switch back.

cool if it doesn't default.
Any further confirmation on this? Did it keep your attributes you earned in 14 as well or just the look of your created Pro?

I havn't played around with tournament mode yet, but am I right in assuming it won't let you recreate the world cup, or any similar type tournament?

After four years of career mode, will your create-a-pro be able to play in and win a WC?

Glad I'm not the only one! I was playing legendary last year, this year I'm struggling on world class. I've also noticed that it is much harder to aim your shot this year, even using assisted shot accuracy. No more cross body shots ending up in the back of the net.

I think this is where you are misunderstanding the intent.

It isn't an advantage for the user. It's an acceleration balance so that 50/50 balls are 50/50.

I have never heard anyone call it a 60/40 ball or 55/45 ball.

Personally any slider changes I make are purely to level the playing field. If my team is 73/70/71 and the CPU is 74/70/72 then we should have a pretty even fight here on the pitch.

Also if the odds of the cpu winning every 50/50 ball are greater because of getting the jump on your players, the passing and possession stats get bloated in the cpu's favor.

At the end of the day, we are all wrestling with what this game is to us so nobody is right and nobody is wrong. If I like accel for the cpu on 48 and you like it on 50...who really cares?

I get what you were saying and the reasoning behind it, I just disagree with it being necessary. But in the end it doesn't matter what I think about how you play the game lol. Sliders are a way to tailor difficulty and game style to your personal tastes, and if using unbalanced speed sliders does that for you then cool!
My only point was that there is no artificial speed boost built into the game that allows slower players to keep up with faster ones.

# 97 Lofty @ 09/20/14 02:47 PM
I think it is playing great this year. I might even say its a better game than PES.

I have been seating and searching for info on why GK kicking is so underpowered. This goes for all years of FIFA and has never been amended. I would of thought that this would be the year to get keepers sorted as they are such a back of the box highlight. What I mean is that even at full power, goal kicks are nearly reaching the halfway line.

The other issue is the way they feed the ball out to players after catching. Players don't seem to get far enough up the pitch and if you kick upfield it simply goes to the opposition as no-one is far enough up the pitch.

If anything, the goal kicks need boosting and the drop kicks/kick out of hands need to be lowered/tweaked to see players into the oppositions half of the pitch.

Anyone got any fix for this as I have seen this go untouched for almost the entirety of the FIFA franchise.

I thought I would post a video to give people an idea of the changes to career mode. Apologies for the audio, not really sure why it's low during the in-game footage.. Hope you enjoy.

I got a retail copy and so far my problems are the keepers seem to give up way too many rebounds on low shots and the pitch wear may be a tad overdone. It is better than Fifa 14 but not sure how much I will play once PES comes out. It is better than the demo for sure which is good because I didn't like the demo that much.

I was watching the Villa/Arsenal game earlier today, and I actually noticed how much the pitch getting beat up looked like the FIFA 15 demo with streaks and divots. Never really noticed it in real life before.
