I feel he almost avoids it by taking elbow jumpers all day.

Per 40 numbers are great. But for amare, they don't mean anything since he'll never play more than 20 or so. And he's a decent sub at best with that per game production.
He actually had a 30 min restriction at the end of last season if that helps, but I definitely get your point. I didn't say he deserves it, just than 2k gives players ratings based off mins production. And dwight? Lol watch Hakeem's tapes carefully when teaching both of them. He said to always COUNTER with another move when one doesn't work. Amare I have seen him counter based on the defense. Dwight literally is thinking which move to do in mid post, even against blazers he didn't show post moves. He was just really mad that harden sucked and decided to literally bully Lopez into turn around dunks, not Hakeem like at all. Dwighg faces up, fakes left and drives right for a running hook every time, it's terrible actually

Season Tm G MP FG% 3P% FT% ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PTS
2009-10 TOR 80 35.0 .470 .372 .774 1.3 4.9 6.2 1.2 0.3 1.4 1.5 17.2
2010-11 TOR 66 35.7 .448 .345 .820 1.1 4.1 5.2 1.8 0.5 0.7 2.3 21.4
2011-12 TOR 31 33.3 .432 .296 .873 0.8 4.8 5.5 2.0 0.6 0.5 2.2 19.5

Problem is he's injury prone. I think he could have a bounce back season if he can stay on the court.

Like it matters lol he still hits jumpers with ease and can dunk in traffic.

Either your short term memory needs work or you didn't watch the playoff games. Dwight played so well in the post that 2k boosted his rating during the Portland series.

I don't get the ''He is injury prone player so he shouldn't be rated higher''
You guys forget about the new ''Injuries 2.0''

# 49 nmeurett @ 09/13/14 09:48 AM
Hey guys huge Bucks fan here any thoughts on what you think they will rate the following players:

Brandon Knight
OJ Mayo
Giannis Antetokounpo
Larry Sanders
John Henson
Khris Middleton
Nate Wolters

It looks like they will all be at least a 74 but was wondering from fans of other teams what you guys were thinking they should be at?

Exactly! Amare will probably be skilled but injury prone as hell.

Really he doesn't even play but like 10 minutes a game

Rebounding, rebounding, rebounding and rebounding. He's also a solid, although no where near great, defender in the low post. His insane rebound rate has helped him start in the past and it obviously helped his rating make a significant boost.

I think Dieng is slightly underrated (74-75).

# 56 countryboy @ 09/13/14 11:19 AM
Gorgui Dieng is a 72
Russ Smith is a 69 (a lot higher than I expected. I thought 65 would be ceiling)

Don't hang yourself on overall ratings that much. The way I understand the system is you should completely not give a damn about them. What counts is each players specialities.

Knight is a ballhandler and shooter, OJ has some offensive talents, Giannis is athletic and so on and on.

Play by your players strenghts and you should win against a player using the Cavs not knowing how to play with KLove.

That said, I really don't know why 2k is so eager to release overall ratings.
Give us the ratings of each players special abilities e.g. Novaks 3-pt shooting. And maybe the individual ratings of each players greatest weaknesses to get a better picture.

Clint Capela and Lucas Nogueira also missing.

Black hole, lost tons of poss. because he'd over dribble in the post. He was his usual terrible self.

A couple things: 1) for a guy rated 74, ten minutes a game is perfectly reasonable
2) Reggie Evans played 20 minutes a game last year for Sacramento
3) In that time, he grabbed almost 8 rebounds a game (13.3 per 36).

Reggie Evans is the perfect example of a guy who benefits greatly from the new rating system, as he is an elite rebounder, and a terrible everything else. 74 seems about right.
