Cp3 should be rated overall the same as Curry. Curry is better offensively but Paul is better defensively, and also has an insanely low assist to turnover ratio.

CP3 should be rated higher than Curry.

i have a huge problem with kobe being an 89.

its either

1. overalls are dictated far too much by IQ still

and/or

2. ratings are still absolutely horid.

try an 80-84....

for those of you griping about melo needing to be 90+....you keep mentioning offense..you realize overall, means more than offense..RIGHT?

@fanatic i think its unlikely for barbosa..they already have like 18 players atm lol, and i dont see him making the active roster

Yea we do. Like his solid post defense and career high in blocks. Still not a great help defender but has come a long way. Also his deff rebounding increased too. His defense will never match his offense so I don't know what else people want from him. It's not like people are torching him every night or at all for that matte

Agree with Iggy needing a higher rating. Klay too, who's way better defensively this summer.

Meh, Klay defending international teams wing players, often times their back up wing players, is much much different than him defending the NBA's best scoring wing threats..

Besides I value how he looked against playoff competition 100% more than how he looks against international players.. Not that those teams are bad, but the good teams are, for the most past, good because of the post men and guards.. Those teams don't have Durant's, LeBrons, Harden, Kobe, Geroge, Wade, Melo, etc type players.. The type of guys Kaly defends in the league.

Speaking on playoff value, I think 2K should take a hard look at how guys perform in the playoffs compared to regular season. Everyone knows those guys aren't going 100% every regular season game, and stats are always up and down from off nights, or blow outs, etc..

I think guys like Joe Johnson, LaMarcus Aldridge, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin, really showed they can take another leap forward when they really have too.

--IMO klay should be about a low-mid 80..but i dont care about overalls i care about individual categories

On the Cleveland Knicks part two video Lebron's dribbling and crossover animations were buttery smooth and the new dramatic camera angle after the score looked great.

Draymond is definitely the more valuable player by far, i'm not contesting that , but I'm still high on Barnes. He hasn't shown how good he can be. Draymond is good, but he is a role guy and last year is about as good as he'll be.
Minutes are minutes-- 28 minutes relieving anyone should give ample opportunity to show something, especially if one is better than his peers and sub level competition. You've got to find some way of making an impact with all that on court time.

I will agree that he is not well utilized as a 4th option with starters or as someone looked off in bench mob except to iso-- but it's also more apparent that there aren't that many ways to use Barnes except as an off-ball cutter. I think his one hope is to turn it around with his shooting, both from perimeter and midrange. He also had a decent post turnaround jumper that abandoned him last season. If his handle forces him to settle for jumpers, he better get bloody good at them.

yeesh wait for the man to decline before plummeting his rating. 80?

Except he's right on all counts here. Would be more helpful to actually address his points, which are completely fair.

Barbosa makes the team. The Warriors need bench scoring and handling and he'd be the third guard behind Livingston as a better Jordan Crawford. Nedo is probably gone though. The rest are training camp invites though maybe Holiday might crack the roster.

imo he plummeted already lol. but how poorly he played in all SIX games last year, and the fact hes coming off B2B leg injuries at his age, he shouldnt be considered elite until he proves it

Does 2K care more about not "pissing (somewhat delusional ) Kobe fans off" or a realistic basketball simulation? 85 would be generous for him with promises to adjust him once he's in form.

I hope 2K is just hedging and will adjust him quickly if he performs less than stellar.

thats cool and all, but how but how bout some counterpoints to the false claim

# 96 lakers24 @ 09/13/14 02:35 AM
Honestly, are we really in here discussing the merits of Kobe having a 89 BEFORE the game even ships? lol. Come on.
I get he was injured last year, but he definitely was still an 80+ player last time we saw him. 89 may be a bit generous right now, but y'all are acting like his rating(along with many other players) won't be changed throughout the season depending on performance.

# 97 ojandpizza @ 09/13/14 06:47 AM
Honestly as much as I think an 89 rating seems high, there is really no way to accurately rate him at this point. We've yet to see which areas of his game are going to be effected by missing so much time.

They had to give Kobe a rating. 2K isn't right or wrong although 89 seems high. But nobody knows what Kobe will be like. All you can hope is that they will adjust his ratings as the season progress.

Anyway the endless arguments over overalls never fail. It's really pointless.

The Kobe 89 is so so. You can't compare him to love because the rating system is different for position. As we know the sg position is pretty weak in itself compared to pg,sf, and Pfs. Therefore he should be higher than a lot. And Kevin love is packed in with the Duncan's, alridge, Blake, anthony Davis of the world. I wouldn't have given him an 89 either because again Who knows what he will play like. but 2k did say that the overall rating would also reflect their ranking in 2k overall not just by position so im a little confused. While it is different position I would like to see rose's rating to see how much injury respect they are giving him.
