now that ive played more.
the obvious flaws for me is the bad cpu ai in front of the net and how easy they let you enter the neutral zone and offensive zone.

i play on superstar and i cant find a way to get the cpu to keep possesion and even up shot totals to me.

goalies need a rehaul. you have to increase their speed or else you score 6 goals a game on them in 8 min periods.

puck physics really are amazing.

i do love how the shots are this year. and how they made the puck move while in the net.
i scored on a slot snapshot from stamkos. low blocker. and i love how the puck whipped around the net. looked amazing.

This is what's going to kill it again for me this year.
I just cannot take how my AI controlled teammates are complete robot IDIOTS on defense...
....and how a few ballet on ice moves will get you right into the offensive zone on the other side.

That aside....there are some good advances as well....puck physics seem killer.....and the default speed of the game although it seems the same as last year...it somehow feels better this year.
I used to crank skating speed down.
I haven't even really looked at sliders this year yet.

But they have to ramp up the A.I. for the on ice play. It's terrible.

Heres two of my games last night boys and the stats dont lie as they were real and spectacular on 8 min periods on Allstar near default slider so maybe some of the people with different results is a user or Hockey IQ issue as its also a real hu interactive game and not a sim you can just watch unfold

I was the Avs and Hawks and I actually had two more games but my screen boxscores didnt save properly and this is how most of my games are even with the tilted Ice factor .

In the Hawks game The Kings played just like the kings and were on me all game really realistic but Craw stood on his Head in the 1st and 3rd periods but I also played Excellent positional D and didnt screen or chase the offense and Shaw got two grinder goals .

The Avs game I was off stride and couldnt get much going offensively just a real sloppy and violent game and minny got a ENG to end it as I just couldnt control the tilted Ice .

I wonder if they could or would do a 1080p patch. Looking at the 1080p screenshots in the playstation store is depressing.

You know another thing I really like and I have fighting at 2 is when I have the tilted ice advantage the cpu tries to start a fight to get it back but its normally their best fighter so I wait for a good matchup.

Gotta hold that Ice boys huge part of this game and it looks like to me its also harder to win on the road this year very nice realistic touch I mean this game really needs a little things thread and I love the signs by the penalty box the fans hold taunting the player in the bin .

Really like how each arena looks very close to the real ones and to my knowledge Chicken Parm is even in the right spot doing on Ice analysis but I still wish the replay camera went up to the rafters for a free roam view .

To the fans of each Arena they know is yours pretty accurate ? The Detail is really incredible but is it correct for the most part ?

Im sure others can explain it better but its how the game is programmed through Intimidation , fighting and big hits , when you kill off a penalty ect the momentum swings from one team or the other bu its blended very well this year and you will also here the announcers mention and talk about it .

It used to be real noticeable years ago when it happened as it messed up your skating and lessened your players skill if they were intimated .

Oh and you can see it effect the lines with boost right after a fight ( its a visual little green bars on lines change )

Ok some more " little things " impressions do you notice how hard it is winning on the road this year ? and I

it the way it should be and its not cheap feeling at all and another little thing puck/collision physics are the best physics I have seen in any sports game to date .

You can really feel it on blocked shots and clearing plays when the PK is trying to get the puck out of the zone so the ghosting on bodies and puck interaction are gone in that sense but sticks might be tougher to do ? but heres a few examples where I got hit in the mouth by a hard shoot in .

LOL....There he goes again insulting everyone who takes issue with the game. If your not getting good results and are not in love with this game, as many of us are not, and rightfully so......We all have a low IQ or know very little about hockey. Clearly Shamwow has the only functioning copy of NHL 15 and it came with magic beans. He spams up several threads with the same crap. If you read his posts and its hard not too since they are everywhere and all the same, His sliders and difficulty levels have changed more times than you can count but two things never change.....He is getting great results and we are all too dumb or too lazy to figure it out. We are also all too dumb to figure out his tilted ice theory which is as a whacked out as he is. What a joke

I'm close to finding my sliders and fixed penalties. ..but hard to have a mature discussion with this kid spamming every thread.

My dearest the shamisashame what exactly is your agenda on these message boards? You have repeatedly accused guys of not having the "hockey sense" that you seemingly posess. Your holier than thou/snobbish and look at me attitude is not appreciated by me and many other members on this site.
The game isn't horrible but it leans heavily towards arcade as there is zero nuetral zone play and almost no board play. It is a north and south racetrack. Trust me i tweak sliders and play as sim as possible.
Also questioning people's hockey knowledge is just childish, I played hockey up to and thru college and watch an insane amount of nhl games. I'm not telling you this because I want a cookie or a pat on the back but rather knowledge of the game is not the issue. Please o please put me on this "pay no mind list", I can't believe you have a list and on top of that you have a name for said list. That is all.

Fair enough you seem like a stand up person but if you think Im snobbish I was blindly attacked verbally called a douche and a moron and other bad names so maybe Im a bit defensive because I chose to say what I liked about the game and explain I was having a totally different experience from those few saying different .
I will never argue just to argue as nothing good will come of it so ignore is the best option but you respect me and I will respect you right or wrong as we all have different opinions .

I was then asked /challenged/demanded to visually post proof about penalties and my games or they didnt happen mentality and I did ,then about there wasnt enough types of penalties and I did visually because what was being posted just isnt true when I play on near allstar default .

Also about what type of games I was having and how I played so I created a slider thread and then that was attacked saying theres no penalties in this game when I showed visual proof again and again while the other person didnt .

The only agenda here is a small group of people trying to create a lynch mob mentality and using the squeaky wheel gets the grease routine as they feel theres some type of entitlement included in buying a game they knew had mode issues but if you go to almost any other game sites gameplay and physics are praised .

So yeah if someone who lowers shooting from 3 to 1 or 0 (1/3 of the scale

) on accuracy to make the game look more realistic ? and then complains over and over again hes out shooting the cpu 3 to 1 Im gonna defend it but I also tried to explain it verbally but even better visually as then theres no gray area just the facts or in this case the stats .

Im gonna copy a post I read today best ever anywhere in bold so I hope you and others can see how your acting myself included at times but I do try to avoid most arguments that will go nowhere good.

Are you basing this off of just members here at OS Forums? If so, let me explain to you from a long time member standpoint of view as i been a member here for 12 years now....there are a lot of very very finicky almost childish kind of members here with a lot of their gripes and dislikes of this game and any other sports game tha that has its own sub-forum here at OS Forums.

One thing i learned here after being here so long is that people want their sports games tailored to their own liking "OR" they read someone else negative slandering feedback and literally get hypnotized off it and from that point on their eye's are totally focused on that specific bug or problem in the game, even as minor as it may be...they will make it a mountain out of a mole hill.

Long story short - Enjoy video games for what it is, not what it's not. Dont fall for negative people or negative comments you read in here from personal opinions because its nothing but their own opinion and once you start feeding into that BS ...it'll suck all the fun out of every game you play. Do NOT get into the habit of dissecting and putting a videogame under the microscope like so MANY members here do...i mean they literally pop the new game in and put it under the microscope searching for bugs, flaws or just any negative thing their eye's can find because they are already set to look out for negative BS, its a bad kind of mind-set to have ..its simply non-sense and all you gotta do is look at each member's history of posts that are posting harsh negative feedback and i guarantee you the majority of their posts are all like that. Dont get me wrong, there is a place for constructive criticism and we need to share our thoughts on bugs, flaws,etc and what can be improved....I am simply talking about the posts with harsh bashing of a game or portions of a game...

The reason why i say all this is that i use to be like that a lot...i was so caught up on expecting perfection and a bug-free game that i would pop in the new game and just go looking for every thing that i didnt like....rather than popping in the game and just enjoying it for what it is.....Im telling you man, you seem to already have a strong position on your aspect and opinion of the game...that is good, keep it that way because i am telling you man...it will never stop here at OS Forums....this place is notorious for whiny-type, bashing feedback of games and people that only looking for bugs, flaws, and all negative aspects of sports video games.

Like i said...enjoy the games for what they are...no game will ever be perfect and no human is perfect so there is no way a game will ever be perfect but i get a feeling some people around here expect a video game to be and play as smart as the real sport...and that just baffles me. posted by Moegames

I have played numerous games & was wondering if anyone has seen the glass break yet? I know in previous versions a body check would shatter it. Not a big deal but just one of the little things I liked.

not once in over 100 games ?

but I dont really recall a opportunity that it should happen either but if I have time later I raise the proper sliders and test it .

I haven't seen that happen on PS4 or on Xbox 360.

First off let me start by apologizing for getting nasty and calling you shamwow, its uncharacteristic and there really is no place for it here on these forums. With that I just want to be clear that I personally never had a problem with you enjoying the game and I said it before I'm glad you are enjoying it and I was not being sarcastic. I took issue and should have ignored it when early on in this thread or another one, you told people who do not like the game to stay off the forums. You then proceeded in several other posts to accuse people of being lazy, having low IQ's and having no hockey knowledge and it was usually after posts like those that set me off because there is no place for that on these forums either. However 2 wrongs do not make a right. I don't know you and you could be a really great guy, just about everyone here is but I would just suggest that you think a little before posting and I will do the same. I happen to agree with that old post (I didn't include it in the quote for size reasons) I said a long time ago that I think many of us, myself included sometimes expect perfection in a game that just is not capable of replicating real life, no game is. Coming to terms with that I was able to enjoy a very flawed NHL 14. Absolutely everyone plays different and slider tweaks help each person individually but I do think when it comes to things like penalties and what not though there is a reasonable expectation that those things be in the game without us having to spend hours and hours screwing with sliders. I still have hopes of making this game playable and I have found secondary success with some sliders but fear I will lose it again like before. I hope to God your right and the game can be made playable and only time will tell. So in closing, because this and a few other threads have been taken way off track, I totally accept the fact that you and many enjoy the game and have every right too and I would just suggest toning down some of the posts and maybe not so many of the same type in so many threads. I hope you can accept the fact that many of us (not the few you mentioned) have many legitimate gripes with the game and I think the forums is exactly the place for both views if kept constructive. I for one am going to heed some great advice I was given earlier and keep my posts related to the game and not attack anyone because there is certainly nothing constructive in that. Cheers
