I don't get this mode at all..I'm winning and losing matches without knowing the rules of this mode lol.

But the part that's just as frustrating is how out of the 6 cards chosen for your deck,it just happens that at least 2 of them are from your bottom 3,and at least one of your top 2 is basically guaranteed to NOT be in your deck of 6.

Funny how the "random" selection screws you every time isn't it?

lol ya. Especially since it seems like your opponents deck always has their top cards. Same happens in RTG too. Take away my top 1-2 cards from my deck, and face all the top cards in their deck, and it'd be like I'm facing someone a tier above me.

That's why I try to get a balanced lineup so that it won't hurt me as much. But unfortunately,my cards after top 6 aren't in the 4 digits in terms of stats,so it pulls down my deck for this mode abit, cause instead of survivor and legendary fusions,I might have an epic pro being played instead.

But..I finally figured out this mode! It's nice to have some strategy involved, but also sucks cause it seems like the matchup favors their team. When they play Lesnar, the matchup always seems to be power and/or toughness, if they play Mysterio, matchup will be speed.....

Not always the fairest that they get to play second, cause they can match your cards easily. If you play a card they know they can't beat, they'll throw in their 2nd weakest card against it just to give you the win,and save their top cards for later. I got so many right arrow cards,so I have to stick to the left side of the board if I want a chance. I got NO up arrow cards,so I got to stay away from the bottom.

Part of the mode I'm confused with still is what I'm even playing for.

I think would be great as a replacement for exhibition than a major event... The fun was sucked out after the dirt 20 pieces that were blank, and I have a time limit... SMH!

Is it actually possible to win a single card in this mode if you play for free(meaning you don't bypass the timelimit), cause it seems next to impossible.

You get 1 piece per reset, and about 38 or so total resets needed, but you pick 1-2 times out of the 36 or so in there. And with only 5 slots to play, it would take hours to get just 1 reset piece.

The mode itself is interesting, but the way to win a card from the tier, just seems virtually impossible

So I was reading posts on the 2k forums and it seems everybody hates this God awful mode. Good job CD you just keep botching everything since the SV tier.

I don't think it would be bad if it had a longer time limit. Maybe a week?

I don't mind the mode itself, the problem is just that you're many times competing against someone who is basically a tier ahead of you(since your 6 cards chosen, aren't always your top ones, but their top 6 chosen, are likely their top 6), the CPU gets to play AFTER you(so they can match your every move), and the time limit which combined with the unlikelyhood of even completing a single tier card, makes the mode frustrating.

I like the mode though with the whole strategy behind where to play each card though. If they could tweak things so that there's less pieces to get, no time limit, and you just have your top 6 cards every time, then it'd be more fun. I like how you start at the tier below your own though. Not like RTG where you have to uselessly play through HOURS of common, uncommon, rare, super rare and so on,just to get to your tier.

If anything less picks, I couldn't play this for a whole week. Plus it's not just that, the whole mode is just stupid. This is literally all it is, You place a card, the bot places a card that beats it in that stat that's played then rinse and repeat. It takes no strategy and is all about luck. At least with the other game modes you know what stat is being played and you can choose cards accordingly. This would be interesting if you played against a real person, then it would really be strategic.

That's about the only good thing, that it's completely different from anything else this game has. As of now though there is absolutely no strategy, it is all just luck. Strategy would be playing against another player or if the bot went first and you had to counter it, also if you actually knew what stat was being played. Right now you just place a card and hope it's one of its highest stats that gets played, all luck.

# 9353 Majingir @ 07/03/15 04:56 PM
There's still some strategy involved in it. It's like 50% strategy,50% luck. You need strategy to know where exactly to place each of your cards and when/where you should place the 2nd worst of your 6 cards so that it doesn't get challenged, but can still win you a point.

# 9354 hawkeyekid @ 07/03/15 05:21 PM
I've been putting my worst card in the middle. Then I can always challenge it if the cpu changes it.

From there, I try to get corners that can't be challenged. I always try to save a card for the end that won't challenge a card.
