NBA 2K15 gameplay footage has started to leak out from Gamescom. Check out the first clip at Gamersyde, featuring the Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs.
This looks way better in my opinion. Lighting is darker, makes it look less cartoony. The game is slower, which I love. Makes the game play a lot smoother. Animation quality looks a lot better. Looks like we may have gotten a new rim model, can't really tell from this distance though. Cant wait for more gameplay.
awesome, look forward to this on my PC! cant explain my excitement! 2k said they scanned all rookies, why doesn't shabazz have his tatts? Also, i still think EA live has better faces. Wondering if the scanned player faces are in this demo, due to bosh, parker, wade having old face from 2k14.
There's an passing animation around 45 or so seconds in one of the videos. It's from Boris Diaw. If more things like that are in, then we should really be able to recreate that classic San Antonio ball movement.
All that remains to be seen is can you pass like that on the fly against a CPU opponent on a fast break, or will the pass get plucked out of the air cuz the AI knows what I'm doing the moment I press the button.
Did I see Austin Daye in street clothes in the first video during the timeout? I dont remember old games having inactive players on the bench in street clothes
The A.I. still looks the same. Why would D-Wade pass the ball out of a play that was designed to clear the wing for him to isolate? Miami featured a nice Horns set that led to a Napier foul, but I'm not even sure he would even drive into the teeth of the defense recklessly like that. Consistent execution with logical decision making would make me want to play offline, but I don't see that happening with 2K15.
One cool thing is that Leonard did not follow Deng to the corner during that horns play. He stayed in the lane, ready to contest anything in the paint. This is NEW. And not some 1 pass away, help defense. Now, I'm not sure if this is related to how high a player's defensive awareness rating is, but it would be awesome if so.
