I waited all summer to hear about "Confidence Boosting"?
And yet the only thing I cared about, Editing/ Customizing draft classes, wasn't even touched. It was an easy addition, but decided to neglect it, so I can build my franchise around Mychal Kelly? Good job EA, you lost my $60 this season!

I like that the moves you make in the off season will effect players the following season

At 14:45 he talks about how creating new draft classes were more important than allowing us to edit them.

What happened to customizing YOUR franchise?

Are offline CFM paying, because now they are tailoring the to the online community?

I miss the good old days of Madden where they actually had to compete for your business, as opposed to releasing someting they've had in games past, but now pretending like it is a new, big deal!

I wouldn't be surprised if the same legal issues that torpedoed the NCAA series are scaring EA away from letting people create their own draft classes.

I think an easy fix would be ONLY allowing attribute changes, not names, etc.

Come on release day. I'll have 3 days off work after release so I'm happy

NCAA did it. They only got in trouble because the premade players had the "likeness" of the real college athletes.
Not only did NCAA allow you to edit attributes and names, but they allowed you to share the rosters with everyone.
You would think after NCAA went under, that Madden would have tried harder to incorperate as much from their college football series as they can in Madden...

The ability to edit draft classes would have been nice but for me personally it is not a deal breaker given how much else they worked on and improved. Hopefully it all works as advertised. The new confidence system sounds like it could be a huge addition and help CFM mimic the real life NFL even better. Just look at last year and the example of Josh Freeman, he entered the season a 4000 yd QB who threw 27 TD's and quickly fell off a cliff, meanwhile you had a player like Nick Foles who wasn't expected to start but has a monstrous season.

Those are part of the reasons why NCAA is no longer a game. The player likeness was only part of the lawsuits.

Yeah, but they never got in trouble for allowing the USER to edit the rosters to however they wanted.

That was a huge part of the Sam Keller lawsuit against EA and the NCAA, the fact that EA allowed its users to edit to the exact likeness of actual players and share it among all players of the game.

"the lawsuit contends EA Sports intentionally circumvents the prohibitions on utilizing student-athletes' names by allowing gamers to upload entire rosters, which include players' names and other information, directly into the game in a matter of seconds."

The draft class randomizer sealed the deal. This was needed far more than being able to edit draft classes. This levels the playing field against those who depended on the guides to get a leg up on other CFM members.

one question that I have is with the owner mode, in owner mode I take it that you set all the prices and stuff but then do you play the game or does the cpu lay for you?

# 17 fightingirish595 @ 08/06/14 02:53 PM
i better not see corners and free safties with 70 speed.

# 18 fightingirish595 @ 08/06/14 02:55 PM
