WWE 2K15 to Feature MyCareer Mode, New Historical Rivalry Mode

It seems WWE 2K15 will have more new modes this year, with two new primary single player modes to play through according to IGN.

The first mode is 2K Showcase, which will feature two historical rivalries you will play through in a sort of mini-documentary fashion. 2K hasn't spilled the beans on which two rivalries are being featured, but the working plan is for them to both be in-depth looks at two big rivalries from the past. Austin/Rock? Undertaker/Kane? HBK/Brett Hart?

So many possibilities.

Also, 2K will be taking a page out of NBA 2K's book by adding a MyCareer mode into WWE 2K15. This mode will allow you to take your created wrestler and work their way up through the ranks of the WWE. Expect motion captured superstars and authentic voice overs. This mode will only be on the PS4 and Xbox One.

WWE 2K15 features five times the animation data of WWE 2K14. Yes, you read that right. WWE superstars spent enough time to capture over 50 days worth of motion capture sessions at 2K's mo-cap facility. Needless to say, the game should look much better.

There was no indication in the video they announced this. I believe there is more info coming later in the week though.

know what would be awesome in regards to theme songs?? If they put all of the theme songs of former legends and wrestlers, even if their character isn't in the game, at least allow us to use their theme songs. Seems like that would be easier and take up less space. Just a thought. CAW will be extremely boring without the custom theme song feature of the past. They will probably have to have a large library of generic and former songs loaded in the game to make up for it.

I have always thought that. If they own rights to the entrance music why not put it in there. They already have their move sets in there. Would be a huge improvement to CAW in my opinion.

So much doom and gloom in this thread... it's not like this game is Madden or anything...

When we all learned that 2K was taking over, MyCareer was something we all wanted, now we got it (HOW OFTEN DOES THAT HAPPEN NOW IN THE GAMING WORLD?), why the doom and gloom all of a sudden? Is no one able to be pleased?

I have not seen anywhere near the doom and gloom as seen in other threads. It sounds like folks in here are excited and waiting for more information.

No doom and gloom here bro. I would say we are all very excited about what we saw and what we will see in the coming weeks and months. Right now we're just wondering how certain things will work with the new systems is all. That's far from doom and gloom bro.

I'm referring more to the people posting about having to use VC to change attires or what not... there's a lot of negative assumptions coming out based on zero facts.

I think that's just some folks concerns after dealing with NBA 2K. I only played a few games so I never knew the issue with VC. I think for most it just a concern with a wait and see mentality. But I do see where your coming from as nothing has mentioned VC that I am aware of.

Yup I'm one of those people hahaha! As someone who plays the NBA 2k games I've come to not like VC because it's used for everything. I feel like if it's just used for one mode (MyCareer) then I wouldn't have any problems. I don't wanna have to pay the 2,000 VC to buy a glove for a CAW cause that's annoying. Just hope you can understand why I'm worried.

Please, PLEASE give me more options to preset for matches in Universe. I really don't care about cutscenes, I just want to book my own matches and control run-ins and have more options other than clean wins. Make the ref stay down for a while when you knock him out, which gives opportunities for heel shenanigans without getting DQ'd.

wwe wasn't even on my radar still i saw that screenshot i might have to jump back into em. i already know what the career mode will be like, it should have a decent pace like trying to a small title before going on to compete for heavyweight or wwe championships time will tell though
