The $1,000,000 question: do online CFM guys even get to see the presentation!?!?!

I saw they addressed some special teams issues and FINALLY fixed the wind meter and said that wind affects kicking. Questions I still have are whether or not you'll know you're taking the wind. I also wonder if things like max cover punt actually work correctly now or if punt coverage as a whole is still nonexistent. Have to wonder about CPU punting as well and whether they'll continue to just blindly boot the ball 20 yards out of the end zone while punting from the 40. And having CPU sliders for special teams would be nice as well.

"NEW BROADCAST ELEMENTS
The Madden development team placed a heavy emphasis on broadcast banners, and tying new commentary back to them. Every banner in the game has been retouched to reflect the look and feel of an authentic NFL broadcast, and players will see a variety of new broadcast wipes that provide context to in-game performances.

A refined drop-down system will provide consistent updates on player performances. These additions help provide context to games in Connected Franchise mode, making them feel like a living, breathing season. Pregame and halftime banners tie together events from the season, including new Playoff Chase and Divisional Standings banners."

^ For me, this is huge! Hopefully its gonna cfm feel more alive. Looking forward to seeing the new stat banners and score overlay.

If implemented correctly this could be a huge addition.

When that is one of the selling points, there isnt much hope that its going to get better in the areas that really matter.
You do realize that even MLB The Show, the greatest sports sim out there, also advertises how real the grass looks right? Granted it may not matter that much to you or I but some people out there do care about that. And as long as the other things they mentioned as new features work correctly I have no problem with them showing the grass a lil love too.

Would be a big letdown yet again if this isn't the case. Why not just have both users have to press A to skip the presentation?

You still haven't answered why it's so wrong to want to see it???

Answer me this, what is it okay to want to see at this point and what is not okay to want to see?

QB accuracy, it starts with how a player is rated when it comes to his accuracy. It will be interesting to see how the Madden Dev team approaches this.
A little behind, Overthrown, are some inaccuracies.

I just don't want to see throwing a pass to my right on a quick slant & the pass is thrown in the middle of the field. The Pass has to be in the area of the player......pinpoint, a little ahead or behind, High or Low when is comes to accuracy

Judgement on hold until I see the game being played in real time by someone that plays sim football, or until I can play it for myself.

These things are a must going forward but everything else sounds promising.

Can you show me where it says there will be a custom camera angle all I can find is that you can toggle from one angle to the other on the fly.

Couple more things for presentation:
  • Coin toss is removed. Meant to get you into the game quicker. Apparently you select your options during the team select screen.
  • Actual "commercials" during timeout breaks. This will include quick little clips from GMC, Snickers, etc.
  • New Down and distance markers are in game
  • FG range lines are in game in critical situations
  • A lot of Nantz's recorded audio focused on player names.
  • Larry Ridley does not only the halftime but the pre-game as well with some breakdowns of big match-ups.

I doubt they will be full fledged 30-60 second commercials. My guess is that they'll be 10-15 second spots that will be extremely repetitive and probably button mashable.

Remember the backlash EA got from the pop ads before plays. I cant imagine this will go over well. If its button mashable, it wont be as bad. Granted I haven't seen it yet, but I would have to guess there are so many better ways to add product placement in the game then having commercials.

Yeah. It definitely stood out as something I was immediately skeptical about. I think it could work if they're 10 second little clips and if there is multiple versions for each product and we get one in between quarters and maybe one for one timeout in each half. It was always awkward before when it would fade to black and then just fade out of black back into the game so I can see what they're trying to accomplish. And if it keeps Nantz from mentioning Verizon six times in one sound bite every time I enter the red zone, I'll gladly live with it.

I just really hope they're not full on commercials that are non-skippable. That would be absolutely horrible.

If I was in EA shoes and they wanted to add more ads into the game, I would keep sponsoring the starters, halftime stats, player of the game, etc would be the way to go (like they currently do). If they wanted to put more ads via a commercial they should it similar to NBA2k highlighting an upcoming game and slap a sponsorship on that...
