Madden NFL 15 News Post

The NFL offseason is highlighted each spring by the NFL Draft, and now that we're beyond it -- assessing each team and how they are going to be affected by the various moves made on draft day is now the name of the game for NFL fans.

As long anticipated, Jadeveon Clowney was selected as the top overall draft pick. As perhaps (not fully) expected, Johnny Manziel fell to the bottom third of the first round. And everything in between? A few shockers, some solid picks, and some futures made just a little bit brighter.

But not every team can have a great draft and not every franchise is guaranteed a spot at the playoff table -- someone has to lose the draft and eventually lose on the field as well. When it comes to Madden, the game tends to unfairly weigh position/skill players over all others -- so with that in mind, which franchise will see more users than ever playing with them heading into Madden NFL 15?

For it, it's the Jags. I'll definitely be doing a CFM with them.

wow would EA really take Gordon out???? he's smoking he's not out doing drive bys and killing ppl like hernandez did if anything they should just lower him on the depth chart.

i'll be ticked off if I pop my madden 15 disc in and see Gordon not in the game.

That's strange to me, since MLB 14: The Show still has Alex Rodriguez in it, despite HIS season-long suspension for steroid use. (His photo is not in the game, but his player model is, and yes, he's addressed by name.)

Maybe the NFL and MLB have different suspension rules regarding video games. Or maybe Tiburon and Sony San Diego have different rules regarding who should be in the game. Who knows.

The way MLB 14 The Show handled A-Rod this year, you can use him in offline modes and Diamond Dynasty (The Show's version of Ultimate Team), but he cannot be used in online exhibition games or online home run derby.

There's precedent for the NFL removing suspended players and coaches from the game entirely, most recently with the New Orleans Saints bounty ordeal. Sean Payton and Jon Vilma were removed from the game entirely for Madden NFL 13, though Vilma was present as an unretiring player in Connected Careers mode.

Until there is player uniqueness that makes one player play differently than another, this question can't be answered.

The utilization of generic ratings driven animations prevents individual player "skill sets" from standing out.
Put Manziel at DE and for the most part, he will animate "exactly" the same as Clowney.

Play wise, the AI will use the same programming for both, with no regard to them being totally different players.

Until this changes, every team, video game wise is still the same, which voids the inclusion of the draft as a whole.

What about the rams getting Michael Sam you guys?

Minnesota imo. They addressed their needs while taking BPA.

Barr has been compared to Jason Taylor and some had him ranked above Clowney pre-Combine.
Bridgewater could be the best QB in the draft.
Crichton in the third round is a great value pick. Gives the D-Line some depth.
Mckinnon should finally be the scatback Vikings have always needed.
Yankey could end up being one of the biggest steals in this draft.
Exum was rated higher than Fuller pre-injury.

Now with all that being said, none of us know the winner or winners. We won't know for at least 3 years.

Less of a chance of making it in Madden than he does in real life, he'll be pretty far down an already talented depth chart. http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-ram...h-task-for-sam

At the moment he's little more than PR - and it's working, or you would have mentioned their other picks in the context of this thread.

I'm going with Arizona, anytime you add a qb to a team with a big arm and the potential of 85spd or higher they automatically become popular. Add Fitz, a good D and there ya have it.

It may be the fan opinion, but Philadelphia did well in their "Madden" draft as well, IMO. They added two good possible starting receivers (Mathews, Huff), a possible starting linebacker (Smith), possible starting D-backs (Jenkins, Carrol, Watkins, Reynolds), another great halfback/receiver (Sproles), and DL depth in (Allen, Hart). They also also return the rushing 2013 champion. they might be more explosive than last year if Foles returns to 2013 form for a whole season.

Green Bay picking up Clinton-Dix, as well as Davante Adams and Abbrederis. Adams was a machine with Derek Carr throwing to him, so the transition to Rodgers should be ultra-smooth. Abbrederis could be the next Jordy Nelson for all we know. Best route-runner and hands in the draft.

Clinton-Dix gives GB a playmaker at safety that we've sorely missed since Woodson and Collins.

the steelers easy if dri archer is a RB in madden. we all know spd>everything.. they got some guys who should be madden superstars. dri archers gonna be 97+ speed. he'll be unstoppable like jeff demps but with better RB ratings. martavis bryant should be a good madden guy 4th rd 6'4 WR ran a 4.42. shaziers probably gonna be one of the best LBs in madden. 1st rd pick and he's gonna be high 80s-90 spd. i think he'll probably end up being 90spd. tuitt should be solid too.

i like the cardinals too.. just for deone bucannon. i think they have the best def backfield in madden now if cromartie stays 95+ spd. bucannon should be around 90spd with 88+ hit power. so they have 2 90spd safties both with hit power and 2 of the 3 best madden CBs for the last few years. plus, adding a fast QB can't hurt but i don't think he'll be 85+ spd tho.. i think he'll be 80-81
