MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Guess you can't teach patience anymore huh? Seems we're in a day and age of NOWNOWNOW. If it's not ready at precisely the first available moment, folks are ready to get the pitchforks out. I'm so glad I'm not one of those ppl. Gotta be rough living like that.

Anyways, every game I've pre-ordered digitally (MLB 13, GTAV, Last of Us) required a short wait before the download became available. Give them a little time to update the server. Sheesh.

I have a 50mbps connection. PSN doesn't seem to support speeds past around 25mbps max for me. NBA 2k14 took about 6.5 hours to download for me and another 3 hours to fully install.

No I don't have experience with digital but that doesn't mean it's okay to not deliver on a marketing promise. 12:01 means 12:01. If the norm is there is a delay on digital downloads for games then don't advertise 12:01.

Having done this multiple times with Steam, Origin, etc I fully expected this... However the anticipation is just killing me! Digital always seems to take a little bit longer. Still faster than a trip to the store in most people's cases.

Debating on going digital with this game but I don't know yet.
But this thread is funny as hell, but I will keep refreshing to see if I can download it tonight if I decide to.

This is my first digital download, I figured it would be quicker than running out to the store. Because, yes I do want this NOW NOW NOW haha

Can't figure out how to begin this download. The pre-order screen just says "purchased". Anyone with any luck?

The website said 12:01, which advertised makes people believe thats when it will be available. Like someone said, I could have been home from walmart already

If that is the case, they shouldn't have stated that you can start downloading at 12:01. Not a hard concept to grasp.
