MLB 14 The Show News Post

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We’ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Lol, your math is so off.

Your math doesn't work. I think you might be confusing MB/s and Mb/s

47GB * 1024 = 48,128MB / 8MB/s = 6016 seconds / 60 = 100 minutes of download time.

This.

Waiting days... lol. I have an average download size and NBA 2k14 took me about 100-150 minutes to fully download. I just played the little demo thing while it finished. Got me by. People get wild with these download times thinking it takes way longer than it does. Maybe for some, but not most.

Either way, I'll be playing this before I would have if I had bought it in stores.

I don't care how long it takes to download, I'll be playing one game tonight.

1.5MB per second is 12Mbps. Most people probably think you mean 1.5Mbps.

It can be, just make sure your units are right. 1 MB/s = 8Mb/s (or 8Mbps). The game is ~48,128MB.

Why isn't it downloadable at 12 AM exactly? That is technically May 6th.

Digital sounds like an awful deal unless this is the only game you are getting for the PS4 and you have super fast internet.

Getting all kinds of errors on my PS4 the past 24 hours either downloading games or updating them. Constantly having to retry the download. Hopefully doesn't cause too many problems when everyone starts downloading this morning.

Talk about bad timing. It's thundering/lightning/hailing here in Virginia Beach. Gonna go ahead with the download and hopefully it's not much more than an hour with my speeds

Nothing showing up for me. Digitally preordered it, so I just have to return to the game's page to download it, right?
