Don't really like the sound of in-depth player profiles. In-depth usually means really specific which is good for play now games but a disaster for franchise mode. Kind of like the QB intros. It's the Year 2020 and it's still Matt Cassel who took over for Tom Brady blah blah blah. We'll see though, hoping for the best.

I can understand why crowd-sourced play calling is there - this generation of gaming is all about sharing your experience with your friends or anybody else - but the idea of a head coach asking the crowd for help for his next play call is an incredibly amusing picture to me. lol

I want to hear more about the defensive AI improvements, pass rush improvements, and "concept plays".

This doesn't really tell us much. I'm not expecting anything different with the pre-game and halftime shows.

Hopefully the focus on defense means tons of new animations on that side of the ball. Specifically defensive backs having their own animation sets and not just doing the same things as receivers do.

I am cautiously optimistic.

Like to hear some focus on the defensive end.

When I quickly read, I saw revolutionary new and play calling system. I totally disregarded the crowd-sourcing part. For a minute there I thought that they actually cared enough to finally introduce tiered play calling.

Yet another variation of ask Madden though is obviously better...

I agree with this. I hate real life commentary in my ccm. Especially when they are talking about people who are no longer on my CCM franchise.

I doubt it would be the case, but I would like to see generic/dynamic player profiles. For example, you have a player who isn't happy with his playing time and it effects his performance on the field. Or someone else is battling an injury, so your're not sure if and how much they can play during a week. Or playing a rookie QB (CPU controlled) once they've been eliminated from the play-off race

Sounds like player lock is in, that's cool.

Waiting for more information to drop as I'm interested in seeing the above marketing laid out with more detail and does it work sceneros.

Wanna hear what is up with the playcalling. Would love it if defenses played different as well.

A 0t and a 3t don't play the same way, for example.

Any news on having realistic draft classes? Now that Ncaa is outta the picture, importing goes with it. Something like NBA 2ks sharing system would work good. I just can't play franchise modes with fake rookies. It's the reason I didn't buy last year.

If they add "Mortal Kombat like combos" to the defense I'm driving to Madden HQ and punching someone in the face.

my guess is that Kuechly is CGI in the teaser. I not really buying the madden marketing team sales pitch. I am interested in "in-game gameplay" only. Im too old to get all giddy about a teaser/trailer.

What I did like was that it was said that there are "all new" camera angles. They better be customizable or its a waste. Its 2014 and every sports game out has had custom camera angles for YEARS now. If its a couple new angles zoomed in or out higher or lower its a fail. EA has to let the user adjust the camera to his or her liking.

Lets all hope EA spent the money and put forth a complete effort from all aspects of the game. As well as give the devs every possible resource to deliver a HIGH quality product to us that we can all enjoy.

I want to play Madden 15 and say "Wow, HELL YEA! Now THIS is next gen!"

We will see

Here is my take on this info we got so far. I wasn't impressed with Madden25 gameplay wise. AI played god like on All Pro settings. AI gets int every time the ball is thrown into it's area. AI also hands of glue. I'm sick of throwing stupid amounts of ints and the AI always mugging my players from start to finish. While the AI offense players always find ways to get open and you can't cover them. For this fact EA needs to do something about the AI on D and reduce the int ratio for the AI. I want to see more batting the ball down animations and less magic int crap. I like the sound of pregame and halftime show. We will see how that works out. Bottom line my main concern is the gameplay and the god like AI. They need to balance that out in a big way. Overall until I see real time gameplay. All this is hype. I hope it turns out better then Madden25. But we will see sooner of later. Let the info flow EA.

I'm curious how they can reinvent "new camera angles" every year for the past decade.

Broadcast presentation means nothing to me until they put CPU vs CPU back into franchise mode...

It is nice to hear about the defensive side of the ball getting work. However, it is discouraging not to hear about the fundamental framework of any game not being a focal point "PLAYER MOVEMENT"

Madden has had the worst player movement/locomotion of any sports game on the market since 2006. (Maybe any game in general) They touted "Footplanting" as a primary marketing point last year, but we come to find out that it is ONLY FOR USER CONTROLLED PLAYERS (EVEN THIS WAS VERY IFFY). This leaves the other 21 players on the field still using the same jittery movement we have had since 2006.

This game will never be playable until they nail player movement for all 22 players on the field. This includes running animations, locomotion elements (momentum, acceleration/de-celeration/footplanting, realistic pivots) and adding a TON of new running styles so players on the field actually look and feel different.

Also, the animations in this game in general have been absolutely horrid (AND Repetitive) for almost a decade now. They need a complete (AND I MEAN COMPLETE) overhaul of the entire animation engine to make this game look and feel brand new. (Look at MLB The Show and NBA 2K. Widely regarded as the best sports game on the market and they both animate so beautifully it is almost like watching a game on TV)

IMO, these are the primary things this team needs to get nailed down before adding anything else. Considering these issues have been around for about 10 years now and EA constantly says they will fix them, I do not have much faith...

This is not going to happen.

EA Sports shares tech very closely amongst its games now - next-gen Madden, NBA Live, UFC, FIFA, and presumably NHL all use the same core tech for animation, physics, and audio on Gen-8 consoles. Calling for Madden to stray away from this shared tech is not a realistic expectation. Those who continue to hold out hope for such are only going to be disappointed.
