If "in depth player profiles" doesn't include the madden generated players in your ongoing CFM, CFM's will get stale quick.

All drafted rookies will be in this year.

The entire 2014 @NFL Draft Class has been created in #Madden15. Going to be lots of new impact rookies this year on both sides of the ball.

Josh ‏@jpdavis1982 58m
@Donny_Moore @EAMaddenNFL @nfl So does this mean you guys expanded the rosters to 90? In the past there wasnt enough room for all rookies

Donny Moore ‏@Donny_Moore 20m

Not even sure if that will be answered at E3.

If I wanted a question answered similar to that, I'd try to figure who is going to E3 and have face time with the developers or try to find out on their own.

I didn't mean that, I meant try to locate someone who will be, either from Twitter, gaming sites, and ask them to find out for you or ask a developer there.

How come we have seen a few screen shots of NHL already and not Madden? Doesn't Madden come out before NHL?

The only change I really, truely care about is custom draft classes. Or just finding a way to get real draft classes.

Whoa! I guess that puts the player model speculation to rest, and it seems the NFL has let up on its stance on tattoos in game.

The nfl never had a stance on tattoos in games, that was bulls*** fake excuse laziness on EA's part.

As much as I believe EA doesn't put their best foot forward every year. I believe it was confirmed with multiple sources that EA did not have anything to do with lack of tattoos and it was the NFLs request not to have them

I will take your word for it, but I doubt the NFL had nothing to do with EA removing mouthpieces from the game. The ones that half of the NFL wear and that they had in the game 10 years ago.

That I can agree with you on. Especially in this concussion awareness stage in the NFL you would think they would require EA to add mouthpieces.

These details seem pretty limited. So defense looks to get a lot of attention, does that mean they haven't addressed the passing game, special teams, etc?

^So true, this entire part seemed like it was copy and pasted from every Madden of the last decade at least

Madden has had the worst player movement/locomotion of any sports game on the market since 2006. (Maybe any game in general) They touted "Footplanting" as a primary marketing point last year, but we come to find out that it is ONLY FOR USER CONTROLLED PLAYERS (EVEN THIS WAS VERY IFFY). This leaves the other 21 players on the field still using the same jittery movement we have had since 2006.

This game will never be playable until they nail player movement for all 22 players on the field. This includes running animations, locomotion elements (momentum, acceleration/de-celeration/footplanting, realistic pivots) and adding a TON of new running styles so players on the field actually look and feel different.

Also, the animations in this game in general have been absolutely horrid (AND Repetitive) for almost a decade now. They need a complete (AND I MEAN COMPLETE) overhaul of the entire animation engine to make this game look and feel brand new. (Look at MLB The Show and NBA 2K. Widely regarded as the best sports game on the market and they both animate so beautifully it is almost like watching a game on TV)

IMO, these are the primary things this team needs to get nailed down before adding anything else. Considering these issues have been around for about 10 years now and EA constantly says they will fix them, I do not have much faith...
Could not agree anymore. Well said.

Ever since MLB the show came out, I seriously doubt Madden will even come close. Atleast not anytime soon. This is just deja vu all over again with this marketing bs. Gameplay, mechanics, player movements etc. Still anxiously waiting for a football simulator.

I don't give a rat's backside about graphics. I don't care one single tiny little bit about player faces being accurate, tattoos, scars, individual blades of grass, and the stupid pictures on the "player card"!

So, see the transformation can take a friggan hike...

Adaptive AI,
tiered defensive play calls,
press coverage on the TEs,
double teams,
route recognition/reading within zone defense
delayed blitzes
simplified def hot route controls (eliminating the excessive button presses)
save defensive pre-play adjustments
Dline stunts
game- plan settings like NCAA "aggressive, balanced, conservative"
Defensive "situational AWR" no covering zones out the back of endzone
pass rush moves on the buttons (at least in addition to the sticks)
all time every pass route based passing - no more route changing throws
press coverage (including the bump) in zone defense
force fumble while dragging player down ability
true consecutive hits, CPU players "piling on" rather than watching
return of multiple blocking ratings making OL harder to develop
route disruption/ chucks within the 5 yard area
Show blitz separated from bring safety into the box
more player movement on defense - pre-snap
recalibration of movement controls so you can creep, walk, jog, run, etc
ball tracking that requires player to see before he can catch
no more interceptions of passes the defender didn't visually acquire

And that is just a short list of what might get me to warm up to the new Madden - the hype train is a crappy ride that always ends at a terrible and disappointing destination...
So basically you want the art team to handle game play mechanics.
