This looks flat out incredible. I'm actually shocked at the number of people who can't even tell this is PS4. There's a drastic difference and this isn't even a high quality video. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and what they see but to me this looks light years better than PS3. There is so much more color and life to the game.
The lighting is incredible on this as well. The last seconds of the video you can see the shadow from the second deck onto the far left side of the Green Monster. The video boards also look really sharp. It seems as though video boards will finally be back to being fully readable. I remember back in The Show 2010 Target Fields LED and scoreboards were readable. I'm not sure what happened in 11-13 but they turned blurry and basically unreadable. The main video board was fine, but the rest (especially the Out of town scores board in RF) were blurry. I'm thinking it was a memory issue or something and that on the PS4 this won't be the case.
Overall though it looks really sharp. Those new cameras are pretty nice as well. I cannot even describe how pumped I am for this game. It feels like I've been waiting forever. I'm still trying to decide if it's worth buying the PS3 version or not.

I liked what I saw. More details! Love the swing animation too.
And yeah Russell was in the crowd.

Common sense and experience tells us that it's probably an early build.
Looks awesome, Very exciting to see some gameplay, Please give us some gameplay video soon.

Really looking forward to this...coming from Xbox systems to the PS4, this will be my first time playing The Show. Can't wait.
Interesting comment during the video though (at around :19) - "Why do I have this feeling it was developed for Playstation 3 and then ported?" I wonder who the person is playing and what made him say that?

You're in for a treat.
To answer your second question, that would be because of pure conjecture. I'm assuming that it feels like The Show, but because it's on the PS4...it must be a port. Kind of short-sighted.

Been wanting ball boys and bat boys in the game for years now and I am just so happy to see them finally make it into MLB The Show. The video quality is crappy but you can still tell that the PS4 version is going to look stunning on our big HDTV's. In fact I bet for a lot of us when we first get the game it's going to be hard to concentrate on playing good because we will be to busy admiring the stunning next gen graphics for the first few games we play
If retail stores are smart they will have MLB 14 The Show running on all there PS4 store setups for most of the summer. This game will sell systems!!!
There will be so much incredible detail, that I'm going to have a hard time focusing on hitting the damn baseball...I can see that right now

Extremely disappointed, considering that this was one of my more anticipated PS4 titles.
The same swing and miss follow through mechanic is getting difficult to stomach. I was hoping the catcher's gear would fit better. Was looking forward to better player models. Was also hoping for the pitcher to be a bit more "active" on the mound prior to the pitch. Yes, clearly it's a short clip, but these are some recurring things that kills the realism for me.
Will more than likely cancel my Amazon preorder for 2014. Will wait for 2015. My last baseball game was MLB11. I can wait another year for improvements that meets my expectations. Lowering my expectations when more information rolls out.
