Ask them how many games do they release on a Saturday.

So if I read this right, the UP works both offline replacing the CPU with your own tendencies AND works online as well, playing other people's tendencies but only in OF & DD?

Ah yes, of course. I'm allowed to have an opinion on your opinion, and quite frankly what you said was ridiculous (in my opinion).

Both of you knock it off and stop derailing these threads!
Take it to PMs or I'll get a MOD to settle it for you!

If this worked, everyone would be banned lol. There isn't a single non-derailed thread in this place.

But I do agree, and shall sweareth to behaveth.

In regards to your post Curahee, I am curious as well whether or not this UP is usable in offline as well as online. From what I read I didn't get that it was, but it would be absolutely awesome to use my own playing style for simming games.

Do you seriously wanna test that theory?

As for you on topic comment, read the quote in my post about subbing your UP vs CPU.

You only play the CPU offline.

Don't threaten me. I've seen your fair share of arguments in other threads.

As for UP, I will only use it to monitor my tendencies. I also do not play online. Universal Currency is what I look forward to the most.

As long as the UC in The Show is used for RTTS points and the like, I'm completely cool with it.

Can't wait until May!
I agree, I don't see the benefit but others are excited which is fine because I'm not forced to use it.

I'm interested in seeing how the new Universal Profile works. I remember NFL 2k5 having it and it was really fun to play against a somewhat likeness of yourself. Hopefully the Show will have something that can match it. The Stubs... we'll see how it works but it looks to be like a "freemium" type thing. You can earn them through doing things, but they're easier earned through paying SCEA. I'm not too concerned about it though considering that most of the stuff you can by with Stubs looks to be the same as in years past.

I need this game to come out tomorrow.

I don't even pay attention to these things in the game, so I'm waiting for the next Dev Blog. They're saving all the big things for last.

This sounds pretty dang cool!

I love how deep this franchise has become! I wish NBA 2k did the same.

As far as COTW goes, there are a few modes we don't accrue data in, and COTW is one of those. We also won't accrue data in Community Challenges, RTTS, HRD, and training modes. Tracking data in these modes skews things too much -- data becomes unreliable.

We only track the displayed tendencies in the UP.

This is a pretty cool feature, it'd be nice if they used something like this in RTTS to track your players tendancies, it'd be like a scouting report for you RTTS player.

Any word on if there will be an upgrade discount or no?

Crap. Thanks, bcruise. I loved this type of feature in NFL 2k5 (which, by the way, kept all of that data for offline franchise games). I was looking forward to doing that with the Vita. Oh well.

I love the Universal Profile. This is basically just more statistics available to me. I think all games should have this sort of profile tracking thing.

I didn't even read the part about "Stubs" and I don't really care either way what those are or what they do.
