MLB 14 The Show Features Online Franchise - New Screenshots and Videos From Taiwan

Operation Sports reader tedus captured a few videos from his MLB 14 The Show hands-on in Taiwan. He also grabbed a couple of screenshots showing off the new front end, which confirms online franchise.

Below are a few of his impressions, after playing for 10 minutes. More info is sure to come soon, but until then, enjoy.

The field/batting camera changed!
Presentation almost the same!
Control felt good!
Base running animation felt some different!
Fielding felt more responsive

I am cautiously optimistic about all this and will wait till I see more to have a better feel of it , I think its more like a demo of what it will look like and not anywhere like a finished look, JMO

The menus on NCAA are just confusing because there just doesn't seem to be much organization or cohesiveness. The Show's new menu blocks are all the same size and you can everything on the screen at the one time. There won't be any guessing about where the "settings" will be like I had to in NCAA sometimes.

Did people not say the ps3 was maxed out so maybe they can't improve commentary on CG as much? i really hope on NG its getting improved it would not ruin the game but it would suck to have silence on the stronger console during games knowing they have more to work with

I'm ok with the Presentation looking the same on PS3. But if it also looks the same on PS4 then call me disappointed!

And I love hearing that the Fielding felt more responsive and the Control felt good! I think MLB 13 The Show control while not perfect already felt great so if you are saying it feels even better in 14 then that's just fantastic!

When he says "presentation the same" I'm not sure how to take that.

I ws hoping for a complete overhaul, at least on the PS4 version. Maybe its different on PS4? Only time will time I suppose...

Yeah Challenge of the Week is under mini modes and community challenges is next to it.

I wouldnt take it any way at all.

#1, we dont know what his idea of presentation is or how he thinks it may or may not have changed.
#2, we dont know that this version per se is a completed version. It could easily be a demo version. IDK since SCEA hasnt said one way or the other. Which brings me to.....
#3, SCEA hasnt said anything one way or the other on anything with their blogs or press releases or whatever.

So I wouldnt worry JUST yet until we know, see, hear, read more and get some real 1st impressions.

Yep very similar to ps4 dashboard. I love it.
